This is a real pub, friendly staff, a good selection of beers, ciders and spirits and, more importantly, no horrible Muzak (or at least there wasn't when we visited). There are some lovely old advertising materials and other illustrations on the walls, most of which...More

Usual pre dinner pop in and surprised to see it pretty empty! Quick service good cask choice and great old pub.
Great old fashioned Victorian atmosphere. Good beer. Go at lunchtime as gets very busy at night with some characters if you know what I mean. Food good quality pub food. Started going there 40 years ago so its worth a visit.
