Lovely place spoilt by service

Beautiful farm shop where we purchased many goods , we then went into the cafe side to have a coffee and was met by the rudist women working for fodder upon waiting outside which you have to do even when -2 degrees to enter cafe

Nice choice, but wear warm clothing.

Overall good place for light lunch, however management need to do something about the doorway into cafe. It opens directly into space and because it is in use all the time gives unacceptable draft wherever you are seated within. Spoilt an otherwise nice time. Food...wise, always fresh with good selection if somewhat pricey. Last visit our quiche had very little ingredients in the custard….literally had to seek out any bits ham within it did taste nice though. The ploughman’s was particularly good.More

Beautiful Sunday lunch

Beautiful Beef Sunday lunch, was to die for. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, we were both blown away by the quality and amount of meat we got. Fabulous lunch we will definitely be back again soon

Spectacular 'tea for two'!

Surprisingly long queue on Sunday afternoon, despite there being several empty tables. Service was rather slow but when the afternoon tea arrived it was spectacular! Enough food for four rather than the two it was meant for. I'd rather have smaller portions and a lower...price! But they did offer 'doggy bags'!More

Love it here!

Great place , been many times. The staff were very friendly. The warmed cheese scone was the best I've had, delicious. The cakes were amazing, a very enjoyable visit.

Excellent

Yet again another fabulous meal at fodder. The beef pie was simply great. Full of meat and veg in a nice flavoured sauce, served with sour cabbage. The quiche just melts in the mouth. Too marks for the chef. The customer service was good with...polite and helpful staff.More

Fabulous at any time

Not to be missed.

Poor

I love Fodders and think it’s a great venue. Sadly last few times the food has not been great. The quiche has a scrambled egg texture and really not pleasant. Today I had a steak and blue cheese sandwich. The steak (small amount) was nice...as was the cheese however it was on soggy bread covered in tinned tomato and Luke warm. Such a shame.More

Faultless

The thing i like about Fodder is they use the best ingredients,cook and present them well and dont try to fluff it up to be something it isnt in order to charge more. Staff very friendly and helpful,service quick,excellent value for money. Faultless !

Why when I tried to order some food at 3.20pm last Sunday from the Hoof Wagon, was I told you had run out of chips, when your shop sells potatoes. Lost a £30 good order to Gravellys. I understand last orders is 3,30pm, so were your staff over keen to close early? Not the first time this has happened,. Your food is very good but unfortunately the servers aren't.
