The seating area is nice and cosy, the bar area more contemporary. There were four of us and we had nine dishes plus bread and olives and dessert. The portions are quite small (this is tapas, after all) but we had a good variety of dishes. The sangria is lovely, very refreshing. Loved the Croqetas de jamon and the patatas... More

TBH I wish TripAdvisor had rating of 1-10, as La Oliva isn't perfect (9/10) but for Harrogate this is excellent cuisine. The place is split into two rooms, with bar-height tables on the right and standard on the left, of which to former tends to have the better atmosphere. People come for the tapas primarily, and where Deano's Restaurant is... More

Ate here with some friends the other night. It's a pleasant tapas restaurant with high tables in the centre of Harrogate. The food was decent with a fairly good variety and reasonable price. Cost us about £20 each including a couple of drinks. Nothing outstanding but equally nothing to complain about either.

We have eaten here probably a dozen times. The food is always great and the wine excellent. We will be back again soon. The tapas is really good and a step up from any chain equivalent.

A small but tasty selection of tapas although a little highly priced. The wine was nice but expensive. The decor was attractive with what seemed to be spanish type street art. Service was very good. Clean and tidy.

We had a great time here - we booked it for my birthday following trip advisor reviews and it was well worth it. Reasonably priced we had 6-8 dishes from the menu and this was perfect. We especially like the omelette! You can choose to sit in the bar area or the restaurant and the service was quick and efficient... More

Not the place to go if hungry! Tiny tapas served one at a time on oversized plates. Meatballs are always a favourite of mine and in this restaurant they were the size of marbles (6 into total) served in a sort of brine. They tasted like the tinned variety! Scallops with crispy pancetta served on a bed of mash were... More

We sat in the bar area as the restaurant felt a little formal and also a bit chilly! We had 6 plates between 2 and it was just right (we're big eaters!) The tapas is excellent and very authentic Looking forward to going back soon!

Visited La Oliva on Saturday night, lovely place, it was not quite buzzing but it should be more busy, we had a fantastic meal and service, I really could not fault it. Nice to try a restaurant where they have so many different new tastes to try out, and all beautifully presented and very freshly prepared. Particularly impressed with the... More

Heard about La Oliva on trip advisor and it sounded lovely so my partner and I decided to try it. The food was lovely, all the flavours worked well together. The service was great too we got water on arrival without even ordering which was a nice touch. Would recommend people to try and would go back when next in... More
