Sam Smiths house so you know to expect good beer. Dark Mild and Stout well worth a tipple or an OBB. Had tea there on our way back from the match and it was very pleasant. Will be going again.

Was going to leave a review when I saw a review by the lady below. I was in the pub Friday tea time when this lady's attitude was apauiling towards the staff.  It isn't the land Lord and land lady's fault that they do not serve steak, it is a Sam smiths pub, they put a new menu in the... More

Haven't been here for awhile as this usually lovely village pub has changed landlords frequently over the years. Though it had much improved the last time we went as super couple in charge with great food. Could tell straight away this evening that it had changed hands yet again, very few locals in, no fires going, and no atmosphere.asked to... More

This is a great place. Typical Sam's but let me tell you why my family love this place. 1, the beer is the best for Sams. Brilliant pint every time. 2, the food is always cooked to the same standard. 3, the locals are decent folk and welcoming. The most impressive thing about this place is the landlord. Real decent... Anyone visiting a Sam Smiths pub finds they are experiencing great value for money with the food or drink they consume. If you want fine dining these pubs aren't for you, but if you want traditional food and drinks this is the place for you. yum yum!

Set out to visit the bigger pub across the road which happened to be closed. We spotted the Greyhounds over the road and decided to give it a try.....instantly made to feel welcome by the very friendly landlord and, big bonus, good beer at ridiculously low prices.....in fact, for the first round we thought we had only been charged for... I don't ever leave reviews on such as these sites. However wity three friends we decided to support our local. Having asked for a pint of cider, the young girl who didn't look eighteen. Proceeded to pull it into a bitter style glass, now after drinking cider for 30 years I asked her to stop and put it into a... More

Have driven past this pub many times but went in last week for the first time. Good car park to rear and areas to sit both front and back with lovely cobbled forecourt at the front. Traditional English Pub with original fixtures and flagged floors. It was lunchtime on a Wednesday and not too busy apart from some locals and... More
