Fantastic food with a wide menu. Unusual place with funky staff. Good choice of beers ciders and wine. Disappointed I had to go home and not sample the dancing downstairs. Will come again.

Really interesting place with a well in the centre and the walls and ceilings lined with wine bottles. Our young waitress was very attentive and the food was good.

I came here again with a mate yesterday and had amazing sausage mash and onion gravy all three different sausages, the beef and horseradish one was particularly excellent!
We were in Gloucester for the Shanty Festival. Had a lovely dinner at Cafe Rene, with very good service and hot tasty food. I also had a pint of Gloucester Brewery Gold, which, unfortunately, had sold out when I returned the following evening!
