We arrived at 7.30 and we did not get our meals until after 9.00! Yes we had had a poppadum and we were a group, so we were happy to chat for a bit. When it arrived the food was tepid and not very tasty....The main problem appears to be the lack of staff with just one person in the restaurant and the volume of meals going out for takeaway. So they did those before getting to our group. The ladies toilet was filthy - with massive cobwebs.More

Bitterly disappointed after recommending family to join us for a meal at this restaurant. When served with cold starters, we were challenged by the manager who was very quick to raise his voice and start shouting in the restaurant. The starters were replaced but only...to be followed by very low poor quality main meals, consisting of processed chicken slices. Again addressed with manager who once again instantly went to a shouting confrontational mode infront of the whole restaurant. We decided to leave as the whole night was going from bad to worse, and all he wanted to offer was a reduction in 10 % of his included service charge. On leaving, a very heated discussion took place whereby the owner was more than happy to shout at myself and my wife in a resteraunt full of customers only to tell us do not come back. I would suggest unless you are happy with being shouted at publicy and challenged at tour table then you DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTERAUNT. It was without doubt the worst dining out experience ever in my whole life world wide. SHAME ON YOU !!!!More

After looking at menu I noticed on bottom of page “surcharges may apply”. On enquiring what this implies the waiter said that an automatic 10% surcharge would be added to bill, when I challenged him this was illegal and asked if I would be able...to cancel it he categorically said no it will be added. After arguing this was totally illegal I put my coat on and walked out.More

This was a gorgeous meal. The flavours were really well balanced, the portion size was exactly right, the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the food presentation was well thought through. We will definitely be back.

First of all the pints are shocking, kingfisher tasted like vinegar and not fresh at all. Food was okay nothing special for the price, won’t be going back anytime soon. To top it off service charge already added to the bill.

A group of 14 who enjoy their curry went to the Taste Of India for supper. We were looked after very well and we enjoyed the food and the whole event. The team left a suitable time between courses for us to talk and enjoy...each others company and, when served, was of high quality. For our 'mains', which we had pre-ordered and for 14 of us there were 14 different orders, each meal where rice had been ordered was presented on a single plate with sides of bread and vegetable dishes. All agreed that the food was well cooked, full of flavour and very filling. Thank you to all who served us - we will be back!More

Lovely meal at this beautifully refurbished restaurant on Friday evening. We have been visiting and ordering takeaways from Taste of India for 20 years now. The meals have always been superb. When we have visited for a meal we have always been treated with the...utmost courtesy. The staff are polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend (suggest you book in advance if there's a home match on!).More

Chicken tikka beautiful, very tender. All dishes tasty and butter chicken excellent as not as sweet as many Gloucester Indian restaurants. Will visit again. Family of six

I will pay but the price change. Is a lie the menu of drinks is a lie prices. Not happy in absolute. I come back never.

I'm not even sure where to start, but if I could give this restaurant a 0, I certainly would. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE. AVOID! I came here for a friends birthday meal. We sat down and asked if we could order starters first, then main meals....The waiter was rude and obnoxious and said no. So we continued to order the our mains too, at which point he told us 'hurry up and order'. We said this was rude, and to our absolute amazement he told us to leave. Despite only having had a few sips of a drink, and bite of a poppadom, we were then expected to pay for the wine and poppadoms in full. When we said that we were not happy to do so, the young waiter than became massively aggressive. Calling the women ******* tramps, telling us that he would kills us. To the point he was held back by other staff. I have never been so shocked in my life. Absolutely disgusting attitude. The fact that he so aggressive, and the foul language was disgusting. I have never experienced anything like this in my life, anywhere in the world. We were told outside that he's the owners son, and has a chip on his shoulder, so sounds like others are aware. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.More

Our experienced was awful. I can’t eat the tandoori chicken because it was hard and dry. I spoke to the manager but he just said it is the way they cooked it I explained to him that we ate in other Indian restaurants and ate...the same but the chicken is tender and juicy. He just ignored my complaint in the end.More

It was very sad to see that Takeaway service was prioritise on service in house. We had to wait 1h30 before our starters arrived. Then the Mains were wrong and was unable to eat together. Some dishes arrived hot when other dishes just warm. The...service was poor and when informing the staff. About the food we are told: We do also are dealing we Takeaways. That confirmed our thoughts and seemed being sat in the restaurant we were not that important to them. So yes very disappointed for 8 of us. Service was bad. Food was wrong and not to what we usually expect. Staff did not care. And restaurant was nearly empty.More
