This is the most beautiful pub I have been in and also a lovely walled beer garden. We had 2 nice pies with fresh vegetables. Very good. Nice service.

Excellent value and great quality food. Great range of pies. I have tried them all! Chicken and ham is my favourite. Or is it the beef and stilton? Top secret - ask if they have any other pies not on the menu .....

Old Pub with cosy warm rooms. Had soup and a coffee which were fine. Interesting photos on the wall as Robert Raikes founder of the Sunday School movement lived in the house

Stopped for a drink following a visit to the Cathedral and Quays for the day. What a great place! Excellent beer, Samuel Smith's, and gin! Friendly bar staff, and great little rooms with open fires to relax by. Would recommend a visit.
