We were celebrating a 'double birthday' for our husbands last week, and decided to come back to this venue and see if their food was as good as it usually prooves to be. We were not disappointed. The Queen's Head is conveniently situated on the edge of Gloucester and has a free car park at the side. One can always... More

Only moved here a week ago so new to the area. Used Trip Advisor as my guide and chose the Queens Head. So not disappointed. Nice modern country interior, lovely friendly staff and fab menu choice. Really enjoyed our food choices, was sad I couldn't make room for pud as I had my eye on the bread and butter pudding.... More

Called in here with my husband for lunch. We hadn't booked, but we were shown to a table straight away. We both had lovely meals, and they were piping hot! It was very busy, but the service was good. The staff were very friendly. We will return soon.

Lovely light sharing platter. Cooked to perfection washed down with a pint for hubster and a white wine spritzer for me. It was very busy at the time of our visit but there was no waiting for our lunch and it arrived nice and hot. The staff were great and courteous. A lunch to be repeated, thank you.

Visited for Valentine's day evening dinner. The atmosphere was great, with lots of laughter and great food. My partner had the famous (or should that be infamous !) Longford lamb. It is a half shoulder of lamb! A lot of meat for sure. It fell off the bone and was full of flavour. I wasn't as brave and ordered the... More

We took our friends for a lovely evening meal on Saturday evening, the food and service was amazing. Everything was well presented and tasted lovely. The chips that came with the awesome steak were the best I've ever tasted and you get really good portions. There is always fresh vegetables that are in season as well. All in all, well... More

My husband and I booked dinner at the Queens Head on Saturday evening. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed! We had a problem with my husbands starter which was a savoury dish and this was served in a sweet pastry case which was most odd! Secondly the sauté potatoes which accompanied our meal were overlooked and burnt making them inedible. We... More
