Came here with family a few weeks ago, I had the sausage and mash, the food was tasty and portions massive, I could only manage a main

Absolutely Delicious roast, will definitely be returning! Service was really good and lovely cosy pub.
Absolutely beautiful food. We had the pork belly & stuffed chicken breast. It’s a shame we are only visiting the area for a couple of days.
What a disappointment, we have eaten there several times but this time was terrible. First of all a mix up with the drinks ,then the starter a prawn cocktail at £8.25 was just a load of iceberg lettuce with a few small tasteless prawns on...and a teaspoon of cocktail sauce a big let down followed by a lukewarm main dinner terrible service and when we told them politely the manger was talking to us and a bar staff member decided to launch a verbal attack on us and we were told this is hospitality now after covid and that’s how it is we were asked what wine we wanted red white or rose no wine list ! We were not after freebies although they gave us a bottle of wine all we wanted was a nice hot meal with nice surroundings and pleasant staff. This was the first time we had got together since Covid so very disappointing ,we were told that the queens head might not be for us ! Really well next time it will be the keys hopefully a nice meal with good service so cross my review is a bit muddled but we expected a lot more than what we got no wonder it was very quiet.More
I visited the Queen's Head whilst on business a couple of months back. We booked the table in advance which was easy enough. The Longford lamb was excellent, looking forward to returning in the coming months! Highly recommend!
This place is a must to visit. The staff are delightful and the food is proper pub grub not some "ping n serve" rubbish. I would recommend pre booking as it filled up really quickly (we got there at 6.30pm)
Booked a table for 2 for Sunday Roast at the Queens Head, Longford. We chose the Turkey roast and the Nut roast (small meal). Absolutely delicious, both! Mum’s small roast was a bargain for just £10 and mine was worth the £14.45 I paid. We...had a side of cauliflower cheese between us, which was very tasty. For desserts we chose Lemon Meringue pie and Banoffee pie. Both were really good sized portions and delicious. Friendly staff and I don’t think there was a free table anywhere. I thoroughly recommend booking a table for Sunday lunch, but do so early as it’s extremely popular!More
This was our film crew wrap dinner, and so pleased we at here. We did a pre-order beforehand, and a fair few of us arrived late due to filming. Everyone at the pub was very patient and kept the food warm for us. The food...was delicious and very generous portions. The pub has a nice, chilled atmosphere and everyone who works there is lovely. Thanks for a great evening and for accommodating all of us!More
What a fantastic experience the food was outstanding as was the service. The best restaurant I have eaten in for a very long time ! Highly recommend
We hadn’t been here for several years but really wish we hadn’t left it so long. We always have fillet steak but they only offer sirloins here, so we were a bit wary. But it was excellent. There was plenty of everything else included in...the meal, such as onion rings. I couldn’t resist a dessert but had to take it home as I was full. The staff were delightful. The bar man was super nice, and after we mentioned how lovely he was the owner came to talk with us. She was lovely too. Professional but friendly. We will definitely be returningMore
Had a fantastic meal here. For starters my wife had the Blanchbait and I had chicken liver pate, while for mains we had featherblade of beef and pork belly. The atmosphere in the place was lovely and relaxed, and the food was amazing, would very...much recommend.More
Arrived on a Thursday evening having booked a table and a good job to! The pub was heaving (good sign). We received excellent service and delicious food in a really nice atmosphere
Food was great, service great, no complaints. Travelled from Plymouth for my mother's 80th birthday. Shared the evening with family. Highly recommended.
I have heard how wonderful this place is for food and it exceeded all my expectations, I recommend the lamb and the belly pork, my mouth is watering writing this review. The prices reflect the quality of the food and we cannot wait to go...again.More
A dark, claustrophobic and uncomfortable pub with unhelpful staff. We were seated by the drafty entrance at a table that was way too high for the seats. When I asked to move to a different table was told no! I had ordered a pint of...shandy that was half made up of 1/2 water rather than 1/2 lemonade! My sons beer was flat, and the waitress was plane rude. This is by far the worst place I’ve ever been to eat. We didn’t stay and opted to leave rather than order food.More
