Really tasty freshly cooked food. I can recommend the lamb and the fish and chips. Great portion sizes and value for money as you can taste the quality of the products used. Staff really friendly too

Went here while we were waiting for our car to be serviced at the garage up the road. It was a bonus that it opened for coffee in the morning as we were able to have a drink before the pub started lunchtime service at...12 noon. The pub has a nice atmosphere and we both had the Wagyu burger which was amazing. Really tasty and excellent value. Had to wait a bit for the food to come but that was probably because it was all freshly cooked. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and we could take our dog in the bar too. Really enjoyed our lunch and would certainly recommend.More

Four of us had lunch earlier this week at the Queens Head Longford. For all it was our first visit to a restaurant since the lifting of lock-down and also went some way to make up for a Golden Wedding anniversary which we had been...unable to celebrate earlier An impressive combination of friendly and helpful staff plus some excellent cuisine and a lovely atmosphere made it for us a memorable occasion. For Starters, two had Garlic Mushrooms, which tasted excellent and two had Whitebait.. The latter were particularly plump and tasted delicious. We all chose different mains namely: Feather Blade of Beef (scrumy), Fish & Chips, Scampi and the Salmon. All the portions were of very good size and most importantly were all served hot. Looking forward to further visits. Although we live local to this restaurant, its been several years and under different management since we visited. However it definitely wont be so long until we next sample their delightsMore

First visit as a family of 3 for Sunday roast. Atmosphere was cosy and friendly. The food was delicious and generous, the puddings were fabulous. They now allow well behaved children for lunch time service. All staff were friendly and attentive, especially our server Jamie....I would recommend anyone to have dinner here. Enjoyed it so much that we have put our names down for Christmas Day. It was so nice not to to have dinner in a big chain restaurant as the level of service really was so welcoming by all.More

Well we have just eaten a meal at the fabulous Queens Head in Longford Gloucester. And I have to say the service and food were brilliant! As soon as we entered the premises we were welcomed by a waiter who I have seen has been...mentioned before ( Jamie) And the manager Steve who kept the drinks and service flowing. For starter me and my wife both had the cheese options And they were huge! Lucky I have a giant Man V Food appetite. Main course I had Wagu beef burger and my wife had the chicken burger. They were both outstanding and the chips were to die for. That was us done 😅. We will be back to conquer the desserts.More

Taken for Sunday lunch when visiting sister in Gloucester, who had been enjoying takeaways from the Queens Head during lockdown. We all enjoyed the food so much we went again the following week before driving home. Friendly, efficient staff ensured we were served with our...food and drinks quickly. After two of our group raved over the beef on our first visit we all ordered it on the second visit and agreed it was delicious, as was everything else on the plate. Compliments to the chef and front of house staff!More

Our waiter, Jamie, was very attentive. The food was fantastic, the vegetarian options were brilliant. Cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had. All three courses came out quickly and our mains and starters were piping hot. Huge credit to Steven the new manager. Couldn’t recommend...it more.More

I visited on a Sunday with my family for a birthday. The waitress was very young and had very little manners. The drinks were flat, the glasses smelt off. Starters were delicious, however it took an hour and half for mains, the Sunday dinner was...revolting, and I have never said a bad word about the queens head before it used to always be so good I don’t know what’s happened it used to be so delicious the food here but on this occasion it was very poor.More

Was really looking forward to eating here again. My meal was not hot in fact it was tepid. I did return it but it came back colder than it went, being part of a large party and they were half way through theirs by time...mine returned, I ate the slightly warm steak and left the rest, pudding was good.More

I don't know if you ever had an answer to your question but for future reference the Queens is a mile from Kingsholm; about 15 minutes easy walk. I doubt you can leave your car at the pub but there are a number of places... More
