Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited the Knobbly Cob today with my son who has who has dairy, egg and gluten intolerances. When I ordered him a jacket potato with Chilli Con Carne and asked if they could open a fresh tub of dairy free spread and use a...clean knife, they were more than happy to do this for him! Very approachable and understanding staff. My son gave them a massive thumbs up and a well deserved 5 stars! Thank you!More

Usually love the Knobbly Cob, haven’t been there in years due to not living in the area anymore. Was really looking forward to having a lush sandwich and some snacks, however after waiting in the queue for 10 minutes, which was ok as it was...peak lunchtime rush hour (there were only 2 groups of people in front of us as well! So not enough to reason the next wait time!) We were told they’d only be a minute when we finally got to the front of the queue, so we were anxious to order our food. However 10/15 minutes later there was still no sign of anyone being able to take our order, there were 3 people behind the counter sorting out everyone else’s order. I commend them for this however it is ridiculous that none of them could take mine and my mothers order. Especially when we started making movements that we couldn’t wait any longer no one decided to try and stop us and take our order, they lost our service and our money and to be honest they won’t be getting it back. Used to be a lovely place but clearly it doesn’t really care for its customers service anymore, which in this financial climate is a silly notion to take. We did think to ourselves that we always try to support our local businesses but this particular one has lost our business in the future as well.More

Went in for lunch. We ordered sandwich baguette each with different filling (they have lagre selection of fillings available- everyone will find something yummi for themselfs:) What a surprise! Food was served on the plate together with salad and crisps, makes our lunch complete. I...highly recommend Knobbly Cob. We will definately come back for more tasty food. Thank You!More

Ordered sandwiches, cakes and coffee for lunch via Deliveroo. Firstly, the sandwiches were delicious and so was the coffee and if I would just have ordered that The Knobbly Cob would have scored a resounding 5 out of 5. But we ordered cakes which didn't...arrive. We paid for the cakes which were part of an order costing just over £21. 96p of thar bill was a service charge. This is adding insult to injury frankly. Being charged for items and service not received with no explanation, apology or recompense would definitely make me hesitate to order from The Knobbly Cob again.More

Me and the family came here to grab a bite to eat and take elsewhere we had limited time and they messed up the drinks first, they then messed up my sister's sandwich we were too far away then to take back so she paid...for a sandwich she couldn't eat what's worse was it was a veggie sandwich and they out near in it, I will never come back as the bread was dry on my sandwich too, three sandwiches and drinks couldn't get it appalling!More

Visited yesterday, no menu, not allowed inside nothing made up, rather dissapointing compared to usual knobbly cob standards, not sure if it's fault of new management or what. I asked if there was any pasta dishes to be told we only have dry pasta but...they could make something to order (which I presume would have cost me more than pre-made up pastas they used to do) I didn't fancy this as didn't have any idea of what could go in it etc as no menu in sight and couldn't even see ingredients or anything. I opted for a tandoori chicken baguette instead as I've had them before, to be told they would have to make it up as there wasn't any, ( didn't seem to be anything made up) the woman then went and took about 5mins making up some tandoori chicken, not wearing any gloves or anything and alot of handling of products and no hand washing seen. Didn't really seem like she new what she was doing just winging it. Anyway after getting my baguette and tucking into it I was rather disappointed by the taste as not what I usually have had in the past from here, clearly didn't use the right ratio of sauce to chicken and just tasted weird, not sure if cheaper ingredients are now being used but couldn't even eat it, also baguette was very crunchy like it had gone stale so they whacked it in the oven for a few mins, again not the nice tasting ones they used to do. Not sure if this place has just rushed with opening and not really ready to or what but compared to how it used to be this place has gone down hill unfortunately.More

Nice little tea room with friendly staff to look after you. Prices were reasonable . You order at counter and you can sit upstairs and your food and drinks will be brought to your table.

Brilliant service. We sat downstairs in the window and we each had a sandwich, but when the sandwiches came they were accompanied by fresh salad, home made coleslaw and crisps, so tasty and the extra touches made such a difference. I would thoroughly recommend Suex

I expected a nice breakfast for my £5.50 but I was not expecting an outstanding Breakfast. Bacon was crispy, toast was buttery, sausages were lovely, mushrooms were not watery and the egg was not at all greasy. In fact none of it was greasy and...there was plenty of it. Staff were also very friendly and attentive and the seating upstairs is comfortable and cool in the heat. Will definitely be going back.More
