I come into the Bank regularly: after work pint.. Today, I overheard a customer choose a chicken meal that they had eaten previously.... it intrigued me.. so I asked? Bare in mind I drink here regularly, but have never eaten anything. Tonight I decided to...try the “Cheeky Chicken” menu; Spicy Chipotle BBQ with ‘slaw, spicy curly fries and sweet chilli dip.. I also ordered a couple of pieces of Southern fried chicken on the side, which I ate as a starter with mayo... As pub food goes... the meal was really tasty. The half chicken was moist. Southern fried chicken breast fillets were equally perfect. Hence me writing this post... I am pleasantly surprised.. the venue, a sports bar with screens everywhere and LOUD music or sports commentary, isn’t my normal dining objective... but I will eat here again... An education for me; “don’t judge the book by its cover”More

Not being from the area we were literally passing trade looking for somewhere to eat. Pulled in and was a bit sceptical at first as it was not that busy for a Saturday lunch time. How wrong i was. Staff were very friendly and the...food was excellent, very good quality and superb value for money. The manager came over to introduce himself as he had not seen us in before so they must know their customers well and must get regular trade. We would definitely go back if in the area again. Just cant understand why it was not packed at that time of day. I have selected "Cheap eats" as the category as the price was good but definitely would not describe the food quality as cheap.More

came here with my family last week to watch the derby leeds game. the place was packed but full of good spirits. didn’t have any trouble finding a table. the menu caters for all tastes and we opted for burgers and the hunters chicken. the...food came out quickly and was hot and looked appetising. the burgers were moist and juicy and lovely chips. my hunters chicken was oozing with bbq sauce and melted cheese. delish. we then all had. we all had the millionaires cheesecake. omg. all in all it was a good meal and i tend to be fussy. the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are helpful. i cannot wait to try this place at lunch timesMore

We hired the room at The Bank for a christening, from start to finish the team were really helpful and friendly. Gemma explained everything to us and was on hand for any questions nothing was to much trouble. On the day the lady in charge...of our party was great, she never stopped all afternoon and nothing was to much trouble. The buffet they did was lovely I would definitely book again 😂More

Visited this restaurant, the food was very average, my steak came mainly cold and chips were very dry, the atmosphere got louder and louder as the night progressed, with customers shouting which resulted in the music getting turned up louder, to the point I couldn’t...hear myself think, would be very tentative about returning.More

Visited in December on a lively Saturday, the place was very busy and the staff did well to cope, weren't many people eating but it looked like typical pub food, it has improved since my last visit when it was the 48 or something but...the main clientele are still the same, quick pint and offMore

We arrived at lunchtime and on our approach we could see an offer outside for 2 burgers or mains for £10. This does have a few restrictions but only on the more expensive meals as expected. It was quiet so we had a choice of...where we wanted to sit. Since I last came here it's been done up nicely, better than before. We were welcomed by the lady on arrival behind the bar before we found our table we wanted to sit at. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and compared to before it's been tamed down a lot to cater for what could be a busy fresh cooking kitchen. Ordered food at the bar and although there was a little confusion due to a new menu it wasn't any bother at all. We only waited a little while and even though the lady apologised for the wait I don't expect fresh food to take 5 minutes. Good food will take a while so all was good. We had a southern fried chicken burger and a naked beef burger which has mushrooms instead of the bun. We also ordered an extra portion of the beer battered onion rings. I didn't look properly and see the burgers came with them already or I probably wouldn't have. The chicken burger was in their own secret recipe crispy coating. It was cooked perfectly and was absolutely beautiful, juicy and crispy. I can't wait for another. I tried a bit of my wife's burger and it was juicy and very tasty too. With the burgers came 2 onion rings and what they call skin on fries. I normally don't like skin on fries and to be honest I class them as lazy fries but these were really good. Crispy and not over cooked and the skin was only on the ends, not all down the side which was a bonus. The onion rings were beer battered onion rings and were nice compared to the normal mushed up crap some other places serve. We were asked if the meals were ok after approximately 5 minutes or so and the lady was very grateful for our comments on how nice the food was and said she would tell the chef. At the end we were both full. The burgers aren't small and you get plenty of the fries. I even left 2 onion rings as well as some fries as I couldn't eat anymore. I'm not sure what it's like in the evening or if it gets busy. We said to them we would be back as we had enjoyed it and said about any little things we did or didn't like. I'm picky about food and couldn't fault any of my meal so would happily go back to eat again. Nice people running the place, nice food, hope they manage to make it better than before.More
