My wife and I went here for our 3rd wedding anniversary meal out. It is a small place, intimate, with subdued decor and it felt very homely.
The food options were simple and we chose the special lamb shank and a massaman curry. We also had starter of tempura prawn and squid. Everything was served nice and hot and cooked to perfection. The flavours were out of this world. All of our plates were cleaned so well, you could simply put them back in the cupboard!
Service was very friendly and respectful.
Our meal here made our anniversary celebration very special, and we shall return soon for another yummy meal!

Wow, the first thing that amazed us was the warm welcome and how intimate the venue is. Also why more people don’t know about this place?
We were spoilt for choice looking at the menu and were not disappointed with the quality, amount and taste of the food.
The service was second to none, so so friendly and efficient.
Toilet facilities absolutely spotlessly clean.
When the bill came we had to double check everything was included as it was so good value for the amount we had.
Thank you to all at this little hidden gem of a restaurant. We will definitely be returning.

Food is absolutely delicious, the massaman curry is my personal favourite, along with the hot and spicy chips. The lady host can not do enough for her customers and kept my wine glass full the whole night. So nice to have a unique family run business, oppose to a soulless pub chain ect. I went with my partner and another couple and me all felt the same. Hoping to order a take away at New Year.

We thoroughly enjoyed the red bean and vegetable Kaeng Massaman Jay, a curry made with less common spices, shallots, tamarind paste, cooked with coconut milk and potatoes and the Tofu Obb Mor Din, mung bean thread glass noodless, tofu and vegetables seasoned with mixed herbs, shitake mushroom sauce, soy sauce and garnished with coriander and black pepper. Both dishes were served on hot Thai clay pots which maintained the food at a good temperature and meant we had a leisurely meal, which was delicious, fragrant and full of flavour. The woman who took our order and served the dishes was very polite, helpful and pleasant.

After seeing the great reviews we booked this lovely little restaurant for our evening meal last night & we were not disappointed! We both had the chicken panang, steamed rice & a pad Thai to share. Everything was cooked to perfection and beyond tasty. The service was wonderful & we were shocked by how decent the bill was considering we also shared a bottle of wine!
We are not local but if we visit Derby again we will be returning to Finale.

Visited for the first time with my wife and friends,from the moment that we walked in was a warm experience.we decided to have the the offer which was on ,which consisted of a starter and a main meal. The presentation and the taste was excellent. I had the octopus balls for my starter ,that was great. My main was a fried rice dish, although it tasted great I think that it would have been enhanced with some sort of sauce. The other three had different starters ,it not only tasted great ,the presentation was second to none . Their mains were different to mine but each meal tasted fantastic.well done the chef and staff for a great experience. I have booked again for valentines night ,which we are really looking forward to.

We have eaten in and had takeaway many times from Finale and every time its been a great experience. The food is always excellent - it's a large menu with plenty of choice for every taste, and always fresh with lots of complex flavours. The staff are very friendly, and its nice to support a local business rather than go to a chain. Would really recommend to anyone looking for great Thai food.

Really good choice of food, beautifully cooked and served. Small inside so service prompt. Several things in place such as vertical plastic partitions between tables, everyone encouraged to use the hand gel on arrival and plenty of soap and paper towels in the bathroom made us feel very safe from risk of infection. Good value for money. This was our first visit but it certainly won't be our last

It was my partners birthday and as we are adventurous with food I wanted something different! Saw the reviews for this restaurant and had to try it.
It was amazing. We went early on a Thursday night so only ones in. Had prosecco- very nice. My partner is gluten free and lots of choice.
Had 4 starters and 2 mains and shared it all.
Lady who took our order was knowledgable and friendly without being over the top. We had a lovely chat with her after dinner.
All the food was amazing and presented beautifully. One thing you gave to try is the hit and spicy chips. Usually we don’t order chips as we like to indulge properly in the traditional food but these were stunning- best chips I’ve ever had and at the age of 43 I’ve had a few!!!!
Already thinking of when we can return to this place. Next time we are going on the bus so I can drink more!!!!

Myself and seven friends visited the restaurant on a Friday evening for my birthday. We all a variety of starters, mains and rice and wine. The food was lovely with good portions on all dishes. I had Thai green curry and egg fried rice it did not disappoint. We all had a lovely time. A small and friendly restaurant with great food and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We had pre-ordered our food and the staff were very professional and friendly when servicing to our table. I’ll definitely be returning to try something different. The menu is very extensive and caters for all dietary requirements.

We came across this restaurant accidentally when our usual Thai restaurant was closed for refurbishment and we are so pleased we did. We have eaten here several times now and every time we have found the owner to be welcoming and friendly and the food to be the tastiest Thai food we have eaten. The menu offers lots of choice and there is also a great vegan menu for me to choose from. As the restaurant is small we always text to book a table, particularly as there is no takeaway service.
Regarding the negative reviews, we have always witnessed happy customers enjoying their evening with attentive yet unobtrusive service from the owner. We happily recommend Finale and will be back again soon.

Visited for my birthday based on a recommendation. Greeted straight away by a very friendly waiter who explained the large menu. The food is obviously cooked from fresh as there is a short wait for main courses. We all had different dishes and all three were fantastic. We agreed that this was the best Thai food we have had in the UK and reasonably priced.

The smell as soon as you walk into finale get's you excited about the meal to come. We went with a vegan and a few meat eaters and all found the food delicious, and the menu made choosing vegan or vegetarian options very easy.
The atmosphere was lovely. The staff were friendly. And the food was amazing. We cannot wait to go back!

First time visiting and absolutely loved it. First of for those dining out that are still reluctant because of Covid all the safety measures are still in place here. Working in a restaurant myself i know people still have reservations about dining out.
Now to the food, absolutely stunning presentation i actually felt guilty for ruining a work of art. The food was amazing and good size portions for the money. The service was fabulous as well. It was my first time here and won't be my last.
