I just exit the place, great one. Inside and outside it's comfy and beautiful. The food is fantastic and, from an extranger, original. Perfect place for a chill lunch or breakfast

Recent first visit for lunch. Welsh rarebit selected. Delicious food and a generous pot of tea. Excellent service and well worth revisiting for other menu choices.
Had a great time the other day, really enjoyed my oat cakes. Staff were so lovely and the decor was so cute. Will be back :)
So glad you liked them Sandy, it's always a pleasure, we're having a 'polish up' of the restaurant this week after moving the downstairs kitchen putting some of our Royal Crown Derby back on the walls! Hope to see you again, Katie.
after seeing this place on FB, I drove into Derby town centre solely to eat here. We were treated like queens from the outset. I stated I didn't like open spaces so was placed with my daughter into an intimate quite area - perfect. Drinks...came and were spot on. I don't eat egg white so requested my eggs benedict without the whites, they came out perfect and runny. I was really full by the time I finished and my daughter loved her sweet pyclet - she couldn't finish it! Have to say the ladies here were fantastic, lovely vibe, friendly and accommodating, you don't often get treated as though you are special these day but the staff went over and above. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND -GO CHECK THEM OUT!More
Absolutely loved looking after you ladies, we're always happy to accommodate requests even if they look like googley eyes in the saucepan hahaha! Can't wait to see you both again, take care Katie
I have bin to this wonderful gem of a place many times now and I simply cannot recommend it enough unfortunately it is tucked away down a area called saddlergate just on the edge of the city and not easily to spot area of Derby...However if you do not know derby just head towards the cathedral area and simply ask someone as it is nearby the cathedral and trust me once you tried these lovely pyclets you will definitely wonder how or why you have never tried or discovered them before And Katie and her staff are lovely and are very accommodating to your dietary requirements as much as possible and also cater for vegetarians Suffice to say we emptied our platesMore
Thanks for the lovely review and your kind words I'm so glad that you loved your pyclets, we always love to see empty plates! Take care Katie x
I went in to ask about their gluten free pyclets. The staff are very knowledgeable about avoiding cross contamination during the making process and ordering in the cafe. I bought some takeaway gluten free and chive pyclets which were delicious, and I would be really...happy to safely eat in the cafe too - the menu looks (and smells) delicious. The staff were really lovely and helpful- and clearly passionate about what they produce.More
Thank you so much. We all have additional allergen training to the level 2 and 3 food safety training as its important to us to be able to cater safely to all dietary requirements. Hope to see you again. Katie x
Walking down Sadler Gate today and i was like the Bisto Kid sniffing. Could smell chocolate pyclets as i walked past and had to pop in. The new layout not only allows you to see the Pyclets and Oatcakes being made but smell them.
Lovely to hear reviews like this! It smells delicious inside and out now! We can't wait for the summer as we're steaming up the shop at the moment! Thanks for the lovely review. Katie
Really friendly. Brilliant price. Large menu. Food tastes fantastic. Quick service. Very clean Nd well maintained.,
It was a pleasure to cook for your family today, I'm glad you enjoyed your late lunch guys 😊
Great pyclets with interesting menu to cater for all appetites. Delicious welsh rarebit and Dougie for the main and then the chocolate and banana and chocolate options for dessert. Very full afterwards.
So glad you enjoyed them, you'll never leave the Pyclet Parlour hungry! Look forward to seeing you again Sam
We were disappointed, the coffee was very strong and bitter and a lot of food items were unavailable, it was freezing in there and did not seem very organized, when paying they did not have enough change to give me £7 (so what would of...happened if I had no more change or cards on me?) also the menu was wet, dirty, and sticky and fell apartMore
Hi, I'm really sorry that we had items off our menu, we have a very large menu which has been difficult to maintain during the huge downturn caused by Omicron since mid December. It has been a fine balance of keeping enough in stock but...More
A charming owner-run cafe selling freshly-made pyclets and Derbyshire oatcakes, with a wide range of savoury and sweet fillings. We had lunch there, but it would have been equally good for breakfast. We liked them so much, we went back the next day to get...a packet each of pyclets and oatcakes to take home with us.More
Thanks for your review they do make a lot of difference to us as a small business. You'll just have to come back and do the breakfast menu too then haha! Take care Katie x
Freshly prepared and delicious pyclets and oatcakes to suit all tastes and pockets, in the same family for over a century.
Thanks for the review Nick, they really do make difference to small businesses. Glad you liked your pyclets its always great to hear that they're delicious! Katie x
Took family (and our dog) to the Pyclet Parlour. Whilst we were all tucking into our scrumpy pyclets & pancakes, the owner v. generously cooked up some steak as a treat for our dog!
Thanks for the lovely review Martin, if I'm cooking a philly cheesesteak there's always room for a bit extra on the grill! I'm glad you all enjoyed your dining experience with us and look forward to eeing you again. Katie
Brilliant. Came on a return visit to my home town. Staff really friendly and helpful, they went out to buy strawberries so my wife could have a berry pikelet. The pikelets are delicious and the link back to the historic stall outside the Guildhall is...fantastic.More
We're lucky to have emergency shop just round the corner and we always want our customers to have what they want. Thanks for the review Katie x
Three of us decided to call in here for a spot of lunch And WOW! talk about amazing food forget what you think you know about pyclets I did and I'm born and bred derbyshire OMG! these pyclets are just fantastic and amazing who knew...a humble this like a pyclet could become such a schmorgasboard if tastes and flavours on your tastebuds Who knew there was so much you could put on top of a pycley Spoilt for choice with the quite vast menu however I am that one of the of the friends that is awkward to feed (very fussy) 😁 However nothing was too much trouble for her and I ended up with the most amazing meal the main was lovely bacon cheese etc but the desert OMG is all I can say So when you are in Derby and want something different to eat get yourself to this little gemMore
Thank you for your lovely review, we cant wait to see you again. 😁
