Absolutely awful, avoid at all costs. The steak and the chicken were burned and took an hour to come out. The staff were lovely but absolutely awful food. Not what I would expect from a steak house.

The steak was delicious, chunky chips delicious . Beef dripping sauce was amazing. Would highly recommend.

I was visiting my friend from Belper, to go somewhere to eat. It was such a rainy day. I haven't been to this place before. So, we decided to go somewhere different as well as supporting one of the local businesses in the area. We...were welcomed by Janice; she was very friendly and reassuring too. She held great conversations & the staff over there were amazing too. We tried the steak over there. Totally forgotten which steak we had. Possibly the fillet steak I think that we both had or the Denver Steak one. The experience was amazing. It was very expensive, but we both really enjoyed the food and company too. We may come back in the future!More

We were impressed but not favourably. Very slow service which is an achievement as we cooked our own meats on hot stones …. Very disappointing all round Stopped at Mac Donald’s for a McFlurry as desert on the way home

We only called in for a quick drink, the staff were great and drinks not expensive. The food looked ok from what I saw. Due to the nice weather all the outside tables were took and quite a few seemed reserved which seemed to put...people off popping in.More

First time in the restaurant and we were having a lovely lunch, I had chicken and husband had a steak. There wasn't many people in and we were enjoying our meal until a group of people came in for a birthday meal. They were really...loud and vulgar. There were a couple in who sat near to them who were Asian and the loudest mouth of them was saying what are they boat people. Finished our meal and as I was eating my dessert a couple of the party was at the bar behind where we sat talking about a drink looking like sperm and calling people the C word. It has definitely put us off going again if thats the type of people it caters for. The staff did apologised for them but I suppose a group of 7/8 is a lot of money to lose if they were told to leave. We were going to stop and have another bottle of wine but decided to go home. Big downer on the afternoon.More

Food was good. Very laid back atmosphere in the restaurant. Steak tasted lovely and you cook it yourself on a hot stone. Highly recommend the onion rings as a side but very disappointed with the side of 3 tiny prawns which are sold a king...prawns but are definitely not king prawns so I’d avoid ordering them. Not enough room to cook your steak, prawns and a massive mushroom on the hot stone. Maybe have bigger size stones for the bigger meals. A cocktail menu would be good but they didn’t have one which was a shameMore

We had high hopes for dinner ‘on the stone’ after viewing the website and social medias and have not left disappointed! Pill Pill Prawns packing a punch to start with a subtle chilli kick. The Potato Skins melted like the butter they were generously smothered...in. The BBQ Chicken was wonderfully flavoured and the Bistro Rump desired rare was devoured before the stones could flirt with a more advance cooking. Staff were excellent on what was a relatively quiet service on a Thursday evening, £100 spent on 2x three courses and 4 drinks total. Even working up an appetite with doing a few laps of the local streets trying to find this gem tucked away the portion sizes were generous enough to have to admit defeat and not finish our plates. will certainly visit again, i have my eyes on the Venison already!!More
