I've been wanting to visit Rios for quite a while but always seemed to end up somewhere else, so when a Friend was organising their birthday evening and suggested Rios, I was pretty happy.
There was a group of 14 of us and this seemed to be the norm, at least when we were there, there were a few couples but mostly groups which gave the place a bit of a party atmosphere.
The food is great, esp. if you like grilled meat! The salad bar was fresh and tasty...the fried pork dish from here transported me back to Cuba, it was that good.
The meats were grilled to perfection with a wide range of doneness so everyone should be happy from rare to well done.
Now, I should say....I can eat! I did think that the timings of the meats being brought round was rather slow, but it's a business, they need to make a profit.
This and the rather slow drinks service (had to go and order at the bar a couple of times) knocks a star of this review but apart from that, Rios is definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly and the décor is bright and tropical.

This is now my favourite restaurant in the UK. It's certainly not as fancy as the original Por Cao in Rio but that was over $80USD a head when I last visited half a decade ago. The £20 Swindon experience gives you 90% of the original for 1/4 of the price!

My 8 year old had a fantastic birthday dinner today. A swim in the Oasis and dinner in Rios Brazil made a perfect day.
Thank you Rio Brazil team- an unforgettable and magical dinner for a very fair price! We couldn't be happier!

We visited here for my sons Birthday as a treat. The staff were welcoming, the salad bar was extensive and the different meats that were brought around were well cooked.
Throughout the meal the staff were attentive without constantly handling and nothing was too much effort, we will definitely be going again.

When here as a group of 13 to celebrate our son's 40th. I've never been to Brazil so can't say how authentic the food or decor is. The decor was quite basic. The seat cushions were quite stained. As for the food, it was very much aimed at the meat eater. For a fixed price of £22, you had an assortment sides and salads and things made with rice and beans. Then they came around the table with kebab sticks of Chicken, beef and lamb. There was a block painted red & green on the table and they kept coming around unless you turned the block red side up. The beef was top-side and it was rump steak which the carved strips from. My wife and daughter had a pitcher of Sangria, but unfortunately found a long hair in it. They made them a replacement when we brought it to their attention, but there wasn't much wine in the second one, basically a jug of fruit juice.
The staff were friendly enough, but ultimately I have to say it's not somewhere I'd be in a hurry to revisit.

My friend and I visited Swindon overnight for a girly shop and stayed at the Holiday Inn City Centre. We asked for recommendations for food and were directed to Rios Brazil, immediately opposite the hotel (they did point out other restaurants very close) we decided to try it. We hadn't booked andbit was full but they said they could accommodate us and very soon found us a table. We expected menus but found we were to help ourselves to a huge variety of salad/cold food (going back as often as we liked) and thena waiter came round with a long skewer of steak, like in a kebab shop and he sliced the meat off. Then another came with different cut of beef and throughout the evening we were offered lamb, chicken and pork, all on skewers and beautifully cooked. When we has had enough we just turned z block over from green to red to stop them coming out with more meat. It was amazing! The quality of the food, both the meat and sides were excellent. The experience was fab and we loved every second of it. The staff were really friendly and so helpful and fun, it's definitely a place I would highly recommend and will be going back there again.

Some may fear that the food is mass cooked and of a poorer quality - fear not. From the salad veg and sides to the array of meats brought to the table I could not fault the food in any way. I did not have the heart to try the Chicken hearts but they are not my thing and when you have prime beef lamb and pork on offer why go for the offal? Decided on the house red wine - nothing wrong with it and I expect you could pay more for less. Service with a smile and from the warm welcome to departure we could not have felt more welcome. We will be back...

A lovely restaurant with good food. The atmosphere is great and the Maitre D keeps the place humming. It is important to book as the restaurant was full on this Friday evening. The salads and sides were very good and there was never a shortage. (The fried bananas are a must!) The meat just keeps coming and was beautifully done - you had the choice of medium right up to properly rare, and the selection and quality of the meat (served at the table on skewers) was absolutely first class. We had two puddings being the fudge cake with ice cream and the Creme Caramel. The caramel pudding was exactly as my Mum used to make and was brilliant! The cost of a main meal was not cheap but I feel was worth it. A word of warning, however, is that the cocktails and wine were expensive and can add dramatically to the final cost.

Came here for a friends birthday and enjoyed it tremendously. Absolutely faultless from start to finish.
Hosts were incredibly accomodating to me coeliac, provided an allergen book and even cooked some gluten free chicken for me.
Needless to say it was a wonderful evening and I left stuffed

Go hungry! The meat keeps coming... Great service, lovely side dishes and salads and a selection of really well cooked and delicious meat brought to the table. My wife and I were very impressed and our fussy kids also found plenty to like. Will recommend.

If you love meat cooked to perfection, with plenty of variety and as much as you want until you reach your fill, this is the place for you.
It is the only place in Swindon i would recommend now, quality and price are brilliant, and they are great at catering for nut allergies.
They deserve to be ranked no.1 easily.

This place is a well hidden in a small street of town but do not let the location put you off its worth going to.
The food is amazing and even with the covid restrictions the staff are happy smiley and very very warm and welcoming.
I particularly loved the chicken hearts and the steak (bloodier the better) the buffet style of sides is fantastic, At the min they are using lists instead of the getting up and down due to covid, but once that has been lifted you can pick yourself. The beef ribs are melt in your mouth and those little sausages are so flavoursome I could have eaten 10 of them.
We took my youngest daughter for a treat as her sister was at a birthday sleep over and she had a go at everything that was on offer. They also offered virgin cocktails for kids my daughter loved the virgin tequila sunrise.
We will be going back as I have already booked for our next family meal I cannot wait to return !

First visit tonight and will definitely go again.
Lovely barbecued meats and the staff are very helpful, they use lists to get your buffet food so you can stay at your table.

We had heard really good things about this restaurant so naturally we wanted to try it .
Upon arrive the restaurant was busy but had a great atmosphere we were shown to our table where the waiter explained how it worked.
Ordered our drinks and went to the salad bar.
WOW what a choice you have. Don't fill up on bread or salad.
Drinks arrives followed by the first of many meats. All the meat was fantasic, hot, seasoned just right.
We did wonder at the price how good the quality of the meat would be, well wonder no more the quality was excellent not fatty or chewie.
The staff were fantasic, taking great care to go through each meat and saying if my wife can eat it as she is gluten and lactose free.
Overall the experience was amazing, we will definitely be back.

First time to this amazing restaurant.
Food was outstanding, the meat selections just kept coming and coming. All the meat was so tasty 😋
The restaurant staff are so attentive and friendly.

We’d heard great things about this place so went for my Brother’s birthday. We weren’t disappointed, you get a choice of salads which you choose from the cart then take a seat and wait for meat to arrive. The meat is served from the skewer at your table there’s everything from chicken hearts to lamb and beef all delicious and you can take a break by turning your block to red. They even sang happy birthday to my brother and put a firework and brolly in his shot. And we didn’t want breakfast in the morning we were still full. Not too pricey either. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.
