I just found out that Wetherspoons do 3x Becks Blue for £5. Bargain. They're normally £1.95 each. Anyway, first impressions of the Savoy, swindon, is that it's actually not bad at all. Pretty standard as far as WS are concerned. It was fairly quiet on the Monday eve that were there. Definitely worth a revisit. Nothing special like but nothing... More

Wetherspoon was holding a real-ale festival with 25 ales from the UK and 5 ales from abroad so I popped into The Savoy to try three of the festival ales and how good they were: x Flink from Holland x Moorhouse's Spring Watch x Boddelvown Brazilian Burton Pale Ale. Excellent service from Tommy (Team Leader) and his team. It was... More

Dropped in to try the real ales. About ten on a few coming soon. Tried a few thirds and they were average tasting. Not the best apart from a GREEN beer. Sign of spring.

We popped in for lunch whilst in Swindon. I decided on mixed grill and was disappointed that you are unable to swap any items. The grill itself was ok, but was shell in egg and meat was overcooked to what I would normally have. The gammon was nice but again unable to swap out the peas. Children's hotdogs were an... More

We went here today and had their £4.25 lunch special for a sandwich/wrap with chips and a soft drink. The food came really quick and we were asked on a number of occasions if everything was ok. The food was tasty and of good quality. The manager here deserves real credit for the way they manage/motivate their staff. Thank you.

Description
The very first Wetherspoons opened in Swindon in 1996. We are situated in the majestic old ABC cinema at the top end of Regent St.

We are a family friendly pub offering everything you would expect from a JD Wetherspoon: Excellent quality food at a reasonable price - From 8am breakfast to 11pm when the kitchen closes. World class wine, spirits and beer as well as a large range of craft beer and soft drinks.

However where we feel we truly excell is in the supply of Real Ale and cider. We have 18 handpulls and consistantly stock a large variety of ale from local brewers and national brewers. We also have at least 4 Real Ciders available at all times.

We have a dart board for use during the week (please ask in advance) and are happy to take bookings for any time of the day - including breakfasts.

See you soon
