Baci is an Italian restaurant in a lovely semi rural setting in Harwood, Bolton. Specialising in authentic Italian food and also mouth watering English dishes. We have a weekly specials menu consisting mainly of seafood such as swordfish, squid ink pasta, stuffed baby calamari but also specialty steaks, lamb chops and veal. We can cater for up to 150 people and special occasions such as weddings, christenings and wakes. Private parties with no room charge on set menu buffets starting at £13.95 per person. We cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, allergies and other food intolerances. We have a bar area and an extensive drinks and wine list with non-alcoholic beer available. Is a fantastic restaurant we been a fews time with family, it always been good but this time I think the standard have drop.the service is ok but a lots of waiting for the service, we ordered 2 soup and a tomato garlic bread it take a long time to come and the the garlic bread literally it got bubble burn all round the edge ! I mean burn, I am also a chef for over 40s years believe me I won’t serve that to any of my customers
Of course I did not complain when staff ask is everything alright they can see is not because I got all the burn bits on the plate and table I work in catering for a long time I never complain I know the feeling when customers complain.
My wife had the risotto she said is good every time that why she ordered but this time is not as good, I had the steak is no problem , even after we pay and leave pasting other member of staff , not 1 staff said thank you and good bye

First impressions on arrival to a family friends get together clean, modern and trendy place. However, from the moment we sat down and still waiting for others to arrive staff were asking if we were ready for food every 5 minutes which was irritating when we had mentioned we would order once everyone had arrived.
There were 16 of us cramped into a corner with tables put together that were all uneven. Once everyone was present our food was brought out, it was presented well and looked good. Once we had finished our starters the mains were brought out, disappointing a few of us.
The steaks were average, with 1 having to be sent back and replaced, certainly not worth the high price tag, we ordered a side of chips and these were awful, cold and cooked from frozen, I’ve made better at home.
An extra steak arrived which none of us had ordered which when the bill came had been added to it.
The bill was a complicated mess, it was wrong and some how hand accumulated and extra £70 on top of what we had all ordered, eventually after an hours debate with staff this was corrected.
This restaurant is very nice in appearance and very busy, but we felt like we were being rushed to be served our food so next party could be seated and continuously mithered by staff.
Changes needed a few tweaks.
Staff overall friendly just a couple with miserable faces.
Food Average and over priced, if your going to charge these prices then the food should be top notch especially not frozen chips that looked and tasted awful.
The gents toilet door was broken and no lock in it.
It’s obviously very popular and busy, perhaps we went on the wrong night being a Saturday and if you’ve not been then give it a try.

Excellent choice on the menu and all 4 of us really enjoyed what we chose (Pizza, Calzone, Risotto & Pasta).
The portions were a little large for all of us. Reluctantly, we all left some of our food as a result.
The service was wonderfully friendly but somewhat chaotic! We were offered several dishes that were for other diners. We were asked if we wanted to order our desert by 3 different waitresses in quick succession even though we had told the first one we needed a few minutes to decide!
The decor and atmosphere were great. We did wish that not quite so many people had been celebrating their birthday due to the number of people who needed the Happy Birthday music played for them!!
Lovely restaurant, tasty and freshly prepared food,reasonably priced and great for friends, family, couples and celebrations!

After booking a table for Mothers day with 40 minutes drive to get there, We arrived to a queue of disgruntled customers. We were seated a short time later at a table that had not been wiped down, next to the entrance with the front door
constantly open, due to the queue of customers waiting on a freezing cold evening.
We then waited patiently for a waiter to take our drinks order around 20 mins.
Then a further 20 mins later we placed our food order. All the while more and more people were waiting to be seated (with the door open). These had started gathering round our table. At one point I had to ask someone to not lean on my daughters chair. And another person to be careful of knocking our drinks over,a very uncomfortable situation as I didn't feel I was going out to have strangers joining us!
At this point there must have been close to 50 people waiting. Many left. By the time our starters arrived we had been seated for an hour easily. The starters were good and we were looking forward to our mains. Fair enough as it was a busy period. The final straw was waiting a further hour and half for our mains and they had still not arrived and having children with us who need to be in bed for school we paid for our drinks and left. Ruined our day and won't be returning.

Went here with my girlfriend for a NYE meal. An utter shambles from start to finish. I had texts and calls off multiple numbers days before the visit to confirm I’d paid the deposit and confirmed the table (one text at 2am!)
Had to beckon a waiter over to get us a drink after being seated for 20 mins without being asked. Everyone working there running around like headless chickens. My soup starter and my gfs duck starter was average. Our chicken mains were awful - bland dry overcooked chicken in what tasted like a packet mushroom sauce and veg on the side still sat in a load of water from the pan. Dessert just as bad - sticky toffee pudding covered in cinnamon. We also had waiters/waitresses collect our plates, bring the dessert menu, take our dessert order and bring the desserts over without asking us if we wanted anymore drinks (had empty glasses the whole time).
We had originally intended to bring in the new year here as there was supposed to be entertainment on all night (nowhere to be seen) but decided we just wanted to leave. We finished our desserts and went to pay at the bar where they attempted to charge us £40 too much as they didn’t deduct the deposit already paid. In total, £140 for 3 courses each and 1 drink each is absolutely disgraceful and I don’t think we will be back…

This was a 60th birthday party that was planned 3 months in advance with Baci, there was no one else in the diary at the time. It was for a party of 26. On the night of the 60th, the surprise was ruined by a member of staff ringing me to ask if I’d been up with balloons and to tell me that the manager told staff to move the decorations and table arrangements. When my family arrived they were struggling to sit us, and when they did we were all hemmed in, and couldn’t interact with each other, when we complained they tried to satisfy us by sending out loads of garlic bread, how much garlic bread can you eat?? Even though I had been up the night before with everyone menu choices and put names next to the choices it was a shambles, the staff had ignored this and obviously given another party preferential treatment. Not bothered about my 60th celebrations and all the money they made from my family and friends, steaks were uncooked and not cooked to peoples preferences, one steak was even cold! I will never visit this place again now.

Very attentive whilst we ordered our food and first drinks, they arrived, then unfortunately we were never waited on again! When our plates were removed we asked for more drinks and the dessert menu, they never arrived. So after 20 mins of waiting we had to wave a waitress over from the other side of the room to ask for the bill, this also never arrived! 20 mins after that we went to the bar and paid.
Unfortunately the food wasnt all that either, very watery sauces and very bland steak.
In all honesty, it felt like a party of two on a Saturday night wasn't worth their time.
Been to far better Italian restaurants with a more intimate feel and much better food and service (Leo's and Ciao Naoli)
One last thing, they don't serve Italian lager in an Italian restaurant. Strange.
First and last visit I'm afraid.

The restaurant managed to fit us in on the same day (Saturday) for an 8:45 booking.
As Uber pulled up, you could see from the outset how busy this restaurant was - side note, the exterior and building was beautiful and twinkling with lights.
We arrived a little early, and I asked the waitress if we should get a drink and wait at the bar. There was lovely sofas and they brought the drinks over quickly, considering how rushed off their feet they all are on this busy Saturday night.
We was greeted by a member of the team around 8:50 so only a 5 minute wait!!
When we was show to our table, it was huge for only two of us.. I’m sure this was mistake - however upon asking them if we could be re seated to a more intimate table, they was more than helpful, and a member of staff came over after 5 minutes to show us to our new table.
It was absolutely lovely and we was asked if we wanted some more drinks.
Shortly after,
The waiter came to take our order
Myself and my partner ordered:
Pate Starter
Stuffed garlic mushrooms in batter
Carbonara
Pesto Pasta & Chicken
I must say,
The Pate was absolutely out of this world! Amazing starter and I highly recommend!
My partner’s mushrooms were average, but certainly not terrible.
Main course,
My partners pesto chicken pasta was out of this world… I don’t normally have pesto but I thought I would try it out…
Amazing guys!! Carbonara was good 👍

We came here for a wake, the staff from the off
Were fantastic and helpful all the way through the afternoon the food was superb and very plentiful they kept bringing food out whilst we wanted it.
So thank you for making a sad day into a very special one for us.

My friend and I had dinner last night 23/2024 the meal we had was lovely we had salmon and prawns mushroom to start with then we both had steak Diane.but I must say the old waiter was not good we hadn't even sat down and he wanted our drinks order which we gave.then he was shufflering his feet asking us if we was ready to order? Really give us chance. Felt very very rushed by him then he didn't give us chance to say we would like chips instead of potatoes with our steaks🤷♀️ had to ask a very nice young girl to ask for chips.within in a hour and a bit we had eaten and felt very rushed it wasn't even busy? Why why? But tell your waiter he will be very welcome where I work and will not be rushed.he needs to chill out and stop suffering his feet🤷♀️🤦♀️?

Came with family for Christmas Eve, took 15 minutes before we were asked for drinks and a further 20 for them to come. Food was good, large portions but felt as if where we were sat was a forgotten area. Tried several times to get the attention of staff to order more drinks etc and struggled to get anyone’s attention. Mains were cleared and it took another 20 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted dessert. We hadn’t even been given the menu. Half of the options we wanted were unavailable. It then took us asking 4 times for the bill, in which it came incorrect. Not sure we will be returning

The food is lovely but honestly the head waiter on duty tonight (27.08) is sooooo annoying. The restaurant was not really busy and yet he flies around like he owns the place ( he doesn't). He is constantly wanting to refill your drinks - and yes every 10 minutes is annoying to be asked. Then he ordered a waitress to clear empty plates when one of our party was still eating. That's just rude! I told the waitress to leave as someone still eating but by then they didn't feel they could finish their meal. As a party we couldn't wait to leave. Honestly puts me off going again

We come here quite a few times and always busy. Tried numerous things on the menu however really love the Bruschetta to start. Pizzas are stone baked and freshly made to order. These are the biggest Pizzas ive ever seen . The Red 1 litre wine is really enjoyable so we get this usually when we come and is only £16.95.
Recommend here for anyone in the area. Reasonable prices.

Terrible service very slow, sat down 15 minutes late and an hour later waiting for our food, only part of drinks order brought to table, they haven’t got a clue about timings. Sauces are watered down with no flavour. Ordered fillet steak but had run out, got sirloin with a pork chop as a substitute but still charged for fillet. Best advice I would give is avoid this place unless you want to pay for tasteless and poor quality food.

We use to go to Baci regularly until we fell out with the place due to poor service. We decided to give it a go 8 years later but unfortunately still has the same issues. Our table wasn’t ready so had to wait for 10 minutes in the bar area we tried to get drinks from the bar and a waitress but unsuccessful. When we sat down the menus were sticky and our garlic bread starter came 10 minutes before our friends mussels starter however they did enjoyed those. My husband felt his risotto was undercooked so didn’t eat much of it but other than that the food was OK but nothing amazing. We asked to see the desserts menu which never arrived so in the end gave up and asked for the bill 3 times! We felt the place was very full which made me feel slightly anxious in these current times and waiters and waitress lent over you a lot! Sadly I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon
