Mixed comments from other correspondents to this website but personally I found this a thoroughly welcoming, unpretentious pub with prompt service and decent inexpensive food. Handy for the railway station, yes, it's a tad old fashioned, but in a good way. We all love quaint...More

I have joined TripAdvisor for the sole purpose of reviewing this absolutely disgraceful excuse of an establishment. Upon arrival, not only did I wait 10 minutes to be served, I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the manager to come down from upstairs...More

We were going to see a concert at the Anvil ( 5 mins walk away) and wanted a drink and some food beforehand. The taxi dropped us off at this pub and we weren’t disappointed. Ok, so it’s not the most modern pub in the...More

Right next to the station, couple of real ales on. Turned up just after they stopped serving lunch but they still served me...and my friend 20 minutes later. Had the Goan curry off their specials board and it was absolutely superb.

The queens has been my local lunchtime jaunt for longer than I can remember and if the missus knew how much I have put across the bar over the years I would be in big trouble. The place has the potential to be a thriving...More

Disappointed that no longer serve hand cut chips. This used to be unique to the Queens Arms and was a reason to choose above other places. Went one evening in November with a group of friends and although the food was good we missed the...More
