In my view this is the best place for hot drinks and a nice range of proper food in Basingstoke town centre. The staff and other patron's are all very friendly. There is a good range of seating and tables so you can relax on...More
I have often walked past and have never seen The Tea Bar open. When my daughter suggested popping in for a drink. I immediately said yes, as I wanted to see what it was like.
There was security staff outside, which made me think oh...More
The Tea Bar, at the "Top of Town" roughly opposite the Red Lion Hotel, is somewhat of a paradox. On the one hand it serves a wide range of teas, and also coffees and excellent hot chocolate in pleasant somewhat modern surroundings including leather sofas...More

Was meant to be unlimited tea but she never came out to ask if we wanted anymore or if everything was ok.
Cakes and sandwiches were very nice though.

Popped in here on a Saturday morning. Sat right in the window on two lovely big cosy sofas. We had a hazelnut soya latte and a fruit infusion tea! Fast efficient service, reasonable prices and the presentation of the fruit infusion tea was really lovely...More

had afternoon tea today. There is a huge selection of teas served in lovely teapots and china cups and saucers. we had a good selection of sandwiches, egg and cress, ham and mustard, corned beef and horse radish, coronation chicken , cheese and pickle, and tuna.. we had scones, jam and cream, carott cake and millionaires shortbread., none of which appeared to be homemade. I was all very nice and there was plenty of it. with as much tea as you could drink.. A jazz band was playing which was very pleasant. The tablecloth was dirty and some of the teapots are chipped. Overall a pleasant couple of hours.
