Ordered the set meal for 2, £30 each. A bit on the expensive side for a set meal. Service was fast but not very cheerful and no explaining what was what, all the starters come together on one last plate. Chicken balls were very rubbery,...fritters were greasy but ribs and satay were good. Main courses included duck and fish which were served in appropriate shaped dishes. Asked what was in the duck sauce and waitress couldn’t explain. Was not checked on or offered deserts. Great decor and restaurant was busy despite being tucked away down a side street.More

Just read some of the more recent reviews and we they are the opposite to how we felt about Thai Modern. Firstly decor was really nice- must have spent a fortune in fixtures and fittings. This was our 1st visit, and whilst I expected the...chilli and salt squid to be more in line with what we get at a Chinese, I was not disappointed, it was different is all. Everyone enjoyed it. (Was very much like deep fried crispy beef.) Also had duck pancake rolls and Tom yum soups. We were all pleased with our starters. Mains were all delicious, we had 2 duck dishes, a lamb massaman and I had my usual spicy seafood (which I can benchmark as it’s my go to dish at every Thai) and it was all very well received. All portions were priced right in my opinion. We ordered 2 jasmine teas- and even these were served in pretty teapots etc. Just overall felt spoilt. And thankful we found this place by chance as others in Northamptonshire didn’t open for lunch on Saturdays. We came to celebrate our daughter’s academic achievements and both the kids were feeling so happy throughout the meal with the food they ordered. Definitely come here again. Thank you! 🙏🏽More

Good food. In fact it was very nice food. Would have gone there again if in the area but there's been a slight issue since paying with chip and pin. When paying the waitress said there was an issue with the paper in the terminal....She disappeared round the corner. A few minutes later she went to the till and eventually came back with the receipt. Bearing in mind this is the only place this card has been used with chip and pin. Today had call from Bank regarding suspicious behaviour to value of nearly £2000 with someone using the pin! Looks like the card was cloned at the restaurant. So, if eating here be careful when paying. If the waitress disappears in the wrong direction from the till I'd advise stopping you card immediately.More
