After another local venue told us bottomless brunch could only be served when booked in advance which turned out to be a blessing in disguise a group of 6 of us were welcomed around 2pm with no problem at all. Indoor and outdoor seating was offered, we took outdoor where the group could split between sun and shade. The offering here was far superior with a starter and main offered and the unlimited drinks range also included a choice of 4 cocktails as standard. We were told at the beginning that we could order drinks one at a time and once the drink we had was finished but with the drinks taking a long time to prepare we found ourselves ordering each further round when a round was brought to our table with no problems or refusal which is what really made for a cheerful atmosphere as drinks would arrive just as the previous was being finished. A tray of fresh bread and dips was brought out before the starters and like all the meals was absolutely delicious. When our 2 hours was up we still had drinks left to finish and stayed a while longer ordering a few coffees to perk us up for the rest of the day. The 2 waiters were very friendly and delivered the best service you could ask for even joining in with some laughs making us feel very welcomed and at home. Shall return at the next opportunity.

A group of 8 of us walked in after an afternoon at the panto. At 4:30 pm on a Tuesday it obviously wasn’t that busy, we were warmly greeted and made welcome by our waitress. The venue is very pretty, but modern at the same time.
Complimentary flatbread and a selection of dips while we waited for our food was an unexpected surprise.
Our group ordered a variety of dishes including vegetarian mousaka, lamb shish, sea bass and steak. Everyone was pleased with their choices and the portions were huge!
These are difficult times for businesses and it was shocking to hear that just 2 customers turned up recently out of 150 bookings. We were very pleased to have provided a little support and will definitely be back.

Our first visit here in a theatre break trip to MK, restaurant is just round the corner only 2 mins walk from the theatre- great location.
Beautifully decorated with a stylish modern feel throughout.
Lovely staff giving really good service without being over the top or too much.
The food was fantastic, we only had main courses and glad we hadn't ordered starters as our meals were quite a large portion. All meat was beautifully cooked and tender, the Marhabar Special was fantastic! Light fluffy rice and a lovely side salad accompanied both meals.
Kitchen is open into the restaurant for all to see and the whole place is spotlessly clean.
Just a note: if your waiter /waitress have done a great job and you want to leave a tip try to give this to them in cash, as we understand if you pay the tip on card the waiting staff never get to to see any of it.
Overall a great restaurant and would certainly return when next in the area.

Visited Marhabar for a quick Sunday lunch after seeing quite positive reviews. We were greeted and sat next to the only other table in the restaurant (which was actually what appeared to be a manager, doing paperwork with her family on her day off).
The restaurant straight away for us lacked absolutely any atmosphere, empty, no music, cold and we considered leaving, but stuck with it.
First off, we ordered drinks. My mum asked if the restaurant had any Italian red wine, to which she was told "I don't know" and was handed a menu.
The service was pretty laid back in general; we actually had to ask if they served the breads because we'd been sat down a good 20 minutes and not received any.
Small touches such as water for the table and no napkins for your lap I felt would have been a good addition for a restaurant who clearly want to be deemed a higher class establishment.
We waited about 25-30 minutes for our food which is fine. Being the only table in the restaurant, we could see our food waiting in the kitchen 'window'. The food was sat there for easily 10+ minutes. I ordered the mixed kebab and my wife had the falafel.
My meat was lukewarm, with the Adana being dry around the edges where it had been sat out waiting in the kitchen.
My wife's falafel was very dark, dry and overdone.
The food in general was tasty, but why it wasn't served when it was fresh was frustrating. I assume they were waiting to serve it all at the one time, but this was at the detriment to the quality of the food overall.
We were not once asked if everything was ok, otherwise I would have mentioned the issues, although I would not have sent it back as we were already pushed for time.
The only time the waitress came over was when we were practically finished and asked if we wanted any more drinks.
We asked for the bill and again we were not asked if everything was ok.
I suspect we didn't visit when the restaurant was at its best (quiet Sunday afternoon) but you can only review what is Infront of you, and it was very dissapointing after having such high hopes.

Nice place with a lovely feminine decor. I love the floral ceiling.
Excellent service! Sophie and Katie were fantastic girls. They were super friendly and chatty, and engaging in constant questions :). I hope they are appreciated by the owner because they are very valuable employees.
The food (Lamb moussaka, Sigara Borek, Chicken shish and Lamb chops) was OK. The chicken was chewy and tough and lamb, sadly, luke warm. Each dish was coming with a green salad covered with watery dressing which did not add any value to the dish. I would truly recommend to drop the dressing!
The kids had Chicken Nuggets, which were dry and remind me of Iceland's nuggets which I saw in an ads, so please try harder on a nuggets front. Kids also like a tasty food!
The place is serving various Turkish and Mediterranean dishes along with a Russian salad which has got noting to do with the above areas. Very odd choice!
Overall it was a nice experience. If I come back it will be because of the great service and cocktails.

After turning up with no booking , we were warmly welcomed and seated. We ordered some drinks and the sharing platter for 2 and both were superb!
Drinks wise I had a couple of cocktails a cherry smash and a tequila sunrise which were lovely especially the cherry smash I’ve not had a cocktail like that anywhere else.
Food wise …. Well simply outstanding!! Absolutely huge portions, we had complimentary Turkish bread and dips brought to the table whilst our dinner was cooked. The meat was perfectly charred yet still juicy and succulent and the salad was super fresh and had a lovely dressing
The service was as good as the food , really attentive and friendly staff , noticed when our drinks where low and we’re ready to take our drinks order, our meal was served promptly and we weren’t rushed to leave the table after our meal which was really nice
And the decor was really pretty with a lovely pink flower ceiling
We loved everything about it 10/10 from us
We will be back!!!

Visited this restaurant last night for the first time and I have to say the food was amazing the restaurant was was very comfortable . Ashan our waiter was excellent he was helpful and so nice to talk to he is an asset to the restaurant in our opinion it was one of the best meals we have had .Just visit for a meal I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did

What an amazing first experience at Marhaba Restaurant !
Food is beautiful, decor just gorgeous!
Great atmosphere with subtle Turkish music in the background .
I have tried non alcoholic Bubble gum cocktail and it was out of this world !
My daughter enjoyed creamy chicken and tomato pasta , we have a had selection of mezze dishes to start and than a big platter of delicious mixed grilled food to follow .
To all Turkish Restaurant lovers out there a visit is a MUST ! I think this will be The best one yet !

Went to MarhaBar last night for a meal out and I will definitely be returning very soon!!
The food was amazing and the service was the best I’ve received. We had a lovely waitress Lauren, she made sure we had everything we needed, made sure we always had plenty drinks and that we didn’t need anything else. Unlike most restaurants where you just get given everything Lauren actually interacted with the table even though it was very busy. Definitely an place to visit the atmosphere is amazing with great music to!
If you like Turkish MarhaBar is definitely the place for you as the food was cooked to perfection and catered towards any needs we needed.

We walked in randomly and we weren't even hungry. A big thank you to the staff, they were most hospitable. The cocktails were delicious, and all the food was great. Theirs is not a very large menu, but all dishes are prepared and served professionally, their chefs know what they are doing. We were so happy we came back within a week, which we very seldom do.

Me and my friend entered the restaurant and were kindly greeted by the waiter and promptly directed to a table of our choosing. We were given separate menus for drinks and food and were given ample time to order and didn’t feel rushed in the slightest. The waitress took our orders and gave great advice on what to order and showed great knowledge about specifics on items on the menu when asked. The food came rather quickly and was cooked to perfection. We ordered the hummus with lamb, ribeye steak and the beef burger. The humus was so smooth and tasted great with the crispy pieces of lamb which was new to me but a taste I won’t forget. The steak were cooked exactly how we asked and had a delicious smokey enhanced flavour to it with was truly sensational. The burger incorporated a brioche bun with cheese and caramelised onions and was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve tried in a while! I would highly recommend anyone to come here with family and friends.

Thank you for the service it was one of my best birthday ever , great team , special because of the waiter Simona and Sorina how offer us a impeccable service the food was delicious and I have to say thank you again to the chef's.
The selection of the food was perfect the Hot mezze and the cold mezze whit the fresh and hot bread and the chili sous and garlic sous, thank you are the best and for the main meal we had few platers for 2 ,an amazing mixt of chicken and lamb it was delicious.
Amazing cocktails 🍷🍸🍹🥂🍹🍸🍷 plus we had a nice selection of wines my favourite one was rosé Zinfandel

We went there 3 days ago after visiting the art gallery - it seemed the only place that was open. Service was polite and friendly and the food delicious. My friends had vegetarian moussaka and I had lamb shish kebabs - more than we could eat so they kindly offered us containers as doggy bags to take the remainder home. We were delighted to have discovered it and really enjoyed our meal.

Many thanks to all at Marhabar. For the great staff and for the excellent food and looking after the four of us. Food was well cooked and presented and good portions and all members of staff super helpful for sure a top level experience for eating out in Milton Keynes.

We were shopping in MK as we frequently do and wanted to try somewhere new to eat within walking distance. Having heard many good things about Olive Tree I was intrigued to see what Marha Bar would be like.
On entering we were greeted in a very friendly manner and taken to a table away from other diners which was nice to have our own privacy and I have to say the restaurant decor is beautiful, it’s stylish & modern and very comfortable. The sad part it was very quiet for a Saturday lunchtime, hopefully things pick up in the evenings but it meant there was no real atmosphere!
In terms of the food, it was a mixed bag. It was a shame that the delicious free bread appetiser with dips came at the same time as the starters but not the end of the world. The falafel was tasty and the calamari was well cooked and they were nicely presented. So far very good indeed. The Tempranillo and Malbec wines were also perfectly drinkable.
The main issue was the Marha special burger was average and quite greasy and the fries were not great. The Istanbul steak cooked medium rare was a bit tough and more medium than medium rare and clearly not a high quality piece of beef, so while fine to eat, the mains were very underwhelming given the great reviews. I kind of wish we’d had some of the more traditional dishes as I reckon the kebab style dishes would probably have been better so we may have to return in the evening to try different dishes and experience the site when it’s busier.
Overall it’s an average rating therefore, but I’m sure this site has great potential.
