This is the 4th time we have visited as we go to the car meeting in the field at the back. Even if we haven't booked or have tried to book on the phone and left a message,we are always found a table.

Down for regular 4 weekly lunch to see Dad and go to the Woolpack. Dad in a wheelchair, nice day so sat in the garden. Dave and the team were outstanding making sure my Dad had his own table and everything was good for him....Food always fantastic, staff always helpful and pleasant cannot rate this gem highly enough. Many thanks Dave and team. From John, family and Dave the dog.More
We stayed at the caravan site at the back of the pub great site basic but great. Beer and food excellent we just had horrible weather and had to move off the grass before the rain came owner could not do enough for us.
Fantastic quaint British PUB; fabulous service, great company. Beer is second to none, brilliantly kept by landlord and as such we go at least twice weekly. Food is sumptuous, vast range and typical British food - yum yum.
My wife and I stayed in one of the pods on site via AirBNB. We went for a lovely walk before having a Sunday roast. The food was great as well as the service. Would recommend!
Visited the Woolpack today for Sunday Lunch. The welcome was very good. But bit of confusion and lack of communication, as we went to bar and ordered our drinks then we sat at our reserved table and waited for a menu or something. Someone came...to take our order, but we said we haven’t seen a menu. We were then told that the menu was on a blackboard in another part of the building- which we weren’t made aware of. Never mind. I hate to give negative reviews as I am in business myself - having said that , this was one of the worst Sunday Lunches that I’ve had recently. Starter of Brie wedges was ok but very obviously brought in from a bulk supplier. The main course of Pork belly was so disappointing. It was advertised as coming with crackling. Absolutely pitiful and embarrassing. The “ crackling “ was bought in pre prepared and packaged sticks . The roast potatoes were something like Aunt Bessie’s but I suspect they weren’t even as upmarket as that brand, probably Bookers or something similar. Absolutely dreadful. Even they were overcooked and hard . The Yorkshire pudding was positively inedible. Flat as can be. Shocking. The veg was actually very nice , but the portion given was minuscule and equally embarrassing. Literally one very small florrette of cauliflower and broccoli , and some cabbage , which was actually very nice but ridiculously small portion. I hate giving negative reviews, but it really isn’t difficult to do it right. Fresh homemade roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding. It’s really not rocket science. Sorry but it was a really dismal offering.More
We had a great evening meal here as staying locally in the area. Recommend booking as seems to be a busy pub. We had the fish pie and was very nice. Puddings were great too. Very welcoming staff - highly recommend if in the area.
An excellent pint of Shepherd Neame bitter, followed by a most enjoyable meal in a large attractive sunbathed garden - what more could you ask for after a hard day’s work? Most impressed with the friendly, attentive service. A lot of pubs nowadays ask for...payment in advance when you order food - the Woolpack was happy for us to run up a tab and settle later. The fish and chips was excellent with deep fried skin on chips, crisp outside but fluffy inside and a nice thick chunk of cod in a tasty well seasoned batter. Such a change from the oven chips, or the fried frozen chips that many establishments serve. My pal was equally delighted with the chicken in a blue cheese and mushroom sauce, tender chicken breast and nice tang to the sauce.More
English friends wanted to give me an authentic Sunday dinner experience at this pub but were completely embarrassed at our visit. Two of us ordered the beef dinner with extra Yorkshire puddings. One ordered the lamb. And my wife, the pescatarian, ordered the nut loaf....The nut loaf arrived soft and was mushy. When asked the server said that this is what their new supplier sends… so not made in-house. My wife returned it and asked for the seafood pie. This came with a huge covering of mash and a scant layer of seafood that consisted of a bit of salmon, a piece of half cooked cod (which my wife left to the side) and 3 pieces of “prawns” which were tiny cold water shrimp. This for £13. Very disappointing! So, our beef dinner consisted of, same as the lamb, commercially thin sliced meat and not much of it. This is priced at £14. And it came with previously frozen “roast potatoes” and previously frozen Yorkshire puddings. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, tasted fresh made. Staff was not knowledgeable on both the menu nor the history. Great old pub ambiance but avoid this this for both the value and quality. The Woolpack Inn - Maidstone… be very embarrassed by what you offer. We are very embarrassed for you!More
The Woolpack is a perfect English pub. First rate beer, high quality pub food and fantastic staff; Dave and Renata run a first class establishment and we visit weekly and are proud to be regulars here.
We visit here for a get together meal occasionally food always very nice as are prices....would recommend.....
We booked last minute as a party of 11 for Sunday lunch including 4 children. Staff were amazing, very helpful and happy. Couldn’t do enough to help and made us feel very welcome. Food was very tasty and great service. We all enjoyed our experience...and will definitely be back.More
Went here for a big family meal as staying local, and had to find them on tripadvisor to leave a review as it was so good! The pub is a classic local, it was packed on a Saturday night and I’m glad I booked a...table. However we didn’t feel it was packed once in and seated as the service was absolutely amazing. Ordered drinks, they were there in minutes etc. Food- good classic pub grub. Not fancy- which is perfect!! Pub were really accommodating as we had someone with dietary needs, and all the food tasted great! It was piping hot when it arrived on the table and the desserts were classic pub desserts too! Going back to service, they could not do enough for us. We ordered a few extra drinks during our meal and they appeared in minutes. All the staff seemed so friendly, smiley even though they were rushed off their feet! Don’t go here if you want a quiet posh meal, it’s a proper pub with great food and fantastic service. Loved it- if we’re back in the area will definitely visit again.More
Great evening meal and perfect site for a campervan situated behind the pub, where we had a very peaceful night
We stopped off at the Woolpack Inn as were viewing properties in the area and had some time between lunchtime appointments, we ordered 2 chicken burgers, a baby meal and two soft drinks and it came to £36.80 which I thought was really expensive for...what it was. Nearly £40.00 for a lunch for two adults and a baby of 15 months. Pub garden was lovely, well maintained, lots of seating area, clean, tidy and the staff were really nice and friendly but I think the food was average and overpriced.More
