We came in for a Sunday roast and had a very good quality roast top side of beef with generous helping of seasonal vegetables and a side of pigs in blankets. Freindlyband efficient service from staff improved the experience even more. Highly recommended location.

Excellent personable service that was attentive without being rushed. All the food was well presented and clearly the cook knew his or her business. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in an ambience where conversation was easy. The upstairs toilet were well kept with an accessible option a ground level. The sweets and coffees were just right.

The market house offers a small but varied menu of lovingly created a flavoursome food. The freindly atmosphere and staff male the experience of eating here even better. Highly recommended for a meal.

My friend and I ate lunch here today, absolutely great menu with some creative ideas which was well priced and food delivered on taste and speed too. Staff are super friendly and helpful which was really refreshing and also very knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely coming back soon and bringing my husband as found they have live music nights too! Keep up the great work!

Served by a polite waiter. Didn’t have long to wait for my massive fish with chips and peas. Chips a bit dry but fish was perfectly cooked. Peas weren’t to my taste as looked dry mushy peas. My friend had something from the specials board which I’d say was overpriced for the little amount she had. I felt the menu hadn’t a great selection of choice but I would go back due to the pleasant staff and nice surroundings.

My partner and I went to Kent for a long weekend, stayed in Maidstone, and found this place on our first night. We had drinks in the evening, and then went back the next day for a meal and drinks, again! Everyone was so friendly, all made an effort to interact with us, give us tips about the area, and generally make us feel welcomed. We had a really nice time joking around and listening to their advice for both menu items, and the surrounding interest points. We will be back when we go for another holiday in Kent! Thanks guys :)

It’s a large town centre pub but with a cosy restaurant at one side. The menu is quite succinct but everything tempted including pork belly which was of the menu. A steak was a good chunky cut with perfect chips and a generous green salad. It seemed the obvious thing to choose given the framed print of steak knives on the walls. Service was polite and efficient

I have visited Market House 4 tines recently. Once in the evening with my partner, on my own to read and enjoy a glass of wine, with a friend for lunch and then yesterday with my daughter for lunch.
Each time we have always been served by Claire. Not only is she really friendly and professional, she also knows how to read people. She knows when you want to chat, need more time or when you want to be left alone. Most importantly however, my daughter is Coeliac and Claire went ‘above and beyond’ to ensure everything my daughter ate was gluten free and delicious.
Thanks and a big thumbs 👍🏼 up to the whole team.

We decided to pop in for a bite to eat, as I could see a couple of free tables on the upper terrace. We waited at the entrance and were shown to our chosen table.
As we walked through and upstairs, we were told about the one way system and could see how they had partitioned off the inside of the pub in keeping with the decor.
We took our seats and Claire dealt with our orders, drinks with 2 Cuban Burgers and a Sweet Sticky Chilli Chicken open sandwhich and a Warm Triple Chocloate Brownie for our son, as there's no way he can leave here without a pudding.
Our son is 21 and has austism and Claire was absolutely brilliant with him. She's more a host than a waitress and she remembered that he liked ketchup from our previous visits and brought it to the table without us asking.
The food looked great and was delicious and it was great to see the place doing so well in such trying times.

Popped in for a drink and something to eat after a walk in the evening. This place is so following the Covid rules it is great to see. Had to wait to be seated, details taken, table and chairs then wiped down before we got seated. Table service is always a favourite of my and the manager knew all the drinks of by heart. Just wanted a snack and told the chef was feeling a bit faint but still made me something to eat. While there for a few drinks I noticed that they did not stop cleaning at all. Even the bannisters to the toilet got wiped over. All the staff should be proud of themselves for abiding by the rules unlike other places in Maidstone. Keep up the good work!

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, it was quiet but the music and friendly staff ensured a really nice vibe. Staff were incredibly friendly and polite, particularly Claire who served us and was brilliant.
I had a picanha steak and my wife ordered a veggie special item. Both were fantastic. They also know how to pour a good Guinness. Great lunch.

We can here on a Sunday whilst out shopping . Never been here before, we was seen and seated very fast by a friendly member of staff.
Inside the pub is nice and warm and cosy, I could of stayed all day
We both ordered the roast dinner, I had Turkey and my partner had the beef , there was plenty of meat.
It came with a lovely selection of vegetables and condiments which we didn’t even have to ask for
Both service and food was outstanding,
It was that nice. We will actually be going back this weekend.

From start to finish the experience was fantastic, thanks to the wonderful Claire and staff. The food was really good, but the service was better. Nothing was too much trouble. So welcoming. 5 out of the 6 main were amazing. The Stilton pasta was laking in flavour and Stilton but I’m sure if we’d raised it, it would have been rectified. My son requested a medium-rare and then wished he hadn’t, so we asked if we could have it a little more cooked, it was absolutely no fault of the chefs, however a new steak was cooked for him. Completely unexpected and so grateful. Will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone. Thank you so much for making our meal so much better than the rest!! 😁😁

I went to have dinner with my family as it was my birthday and the staff were so interactive. It was extremely fun dining at this restaurant, not to mention the amazing food. We were offered samples of their favourite alcohol and were given extra pots of hummus when we expressed our delight at the taste. The staff are absolutely hardworking and the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was utterly pleasant.

Went for lunch here today and the member of staff that greeted us was friendly, warm and very efficient while sticking rigidly to the new Covid rules. The food was really good and well presented and the beer, as always, tasted excellent. Will be back again soon and thoroughly recommend it for somewhere to go for lunch (or dinner) in Maidstone.
