Absolutely lovely Sunday roast for the second weekend in a row, Claire the manager was very accommodating and friendly. Great value for money

I've been visiting the pub every Friday for the last few months with friends. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. It's now the best pub in the area for food and drink. The pizzas and Sunday roasts are becoming legendary! They have a...great menu choice and a good selection of beers and ales on tap. They have recently spent a lot of money decorating and created a fantastic outside area. I would definitely recommend a visit.More

Eloise and Claire and their team, welcome you to this excellent pub and restaurant. Not only is the atmosphere warm and friendly it is complimented by outstanding food. The Sunday dinner is the best in the area and is great value too. Well done.

The land lady of the pub Eloise was very helpful with everything, from helping with my children and making sure the food with perfect, the bang bang chicken burger was amazing.

Have been going here since Eloise took over the pub and every month it gets better and better. Marquees for the winter with heaters so you don't have to sit indoors, Saturday sounds and even the food.

Well where do I starth? As my husband is disabled ( wheelchair user but can also walk very short distance with crutches ) we always call a restaurant/ pub before hand to make sure firstly there’s a table but also access for him and to...decide what he will use wheelchair or crutches. On ringing I was greeted with a very warm friendly attitude and I explained our situation we’d already decided to sit outside if there was availability with it being a nice evening, the layout was explained to me and that there was a couple of steps to conquer so we decided to take a trip, a few minutes later my phone rang it was the young lady to whom I’d just spoken with apologising but she’d forgotten to explain that their outside area was covered with shingle and that it might be a little difficult for a wheelchair, I thanked her for making the time to call me back and letting me know, (so crutches it was ). On arrival I’d taken the wrong turn and needed to call them back for directions again nothing was a problem the young lady said she would send a colleague out with a torch to guide and assist us, we were absolutely amazed! Anyway a long story short excellent warm friendly service with a smile, good value for food although quite a limited menu as they had entertainment evening which was pleasantly unexpected, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the very near future.More

I fancied fish and chips for my lunch today. I decided on The Walnut Tree. Unfortunately they had changed their ‘special’ offer from Thursdays to Mondays. As this change only happened recently I was charged the ‘special’ price by their friendly and helpful staff. My...meal was delicious. Every table had a vase of daffodils which was a lovely sight on a cold and wet lunchtime. Excellent value for money.More
