Good choice for a nice quiet lunch. I haven't visited here for a long time but it still thank goodness looks the same. No tarting up, original attractive decor.
Lunch was very good and reasonably priced, small menu but should cover most requirements.
Friendly chap behind the bar.

Lovely clean pub. Excellent drinks and wonderful staff. A great place to watch live sport on tv, but not overpowering if footballs not your thing. Highly recommend.

Very fine Sunday lunch - definitely one of the best available locally. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will be returning, soon.

Family pub.
Clean toilets.
Nice little bricked outside area.
Very friendly, courtious and professional staff.
Nothing special beer wise.
Food - Sunday Lunch - nothing to shout about. Vegetarian option is basically the same as the Roast minus the meat. No protein substitute.

Went to the Royal Oak as a post Christmas family get together and really enjoyed it. Quick friendly bar service when we arrived and then as a group we had a range of dishes from the Sunday roast menu although also includes other options such as fish and vegetarian. I had the roast lamb, which was lovely. Roasties were nice and crunchy, plenty of well cooked vegetables and the lamb was nice and tender. Others had the roast pork as well as the fish of the day and everyone said how nice their meals were.
This used to be a regular haunt some years ago but had sadly dropped in standards but with new hosts now the food was first class and the service just brilliant - especially enjoyed seeing the whole family involved. Definitely will be returning.

My family and I have enjoyed a lovely roast dinner here.
It hadn’t been organised and they were able to fit in our table of 8.
Food was lovely and very good value for money.
Great that they had a booster seat for our youngest guest.
Will return again.

Since Lou and Simon has taken it over, they have made such a effort and made alot of changes. The food and top class and the service they give is 2nd to none. They make you feel so welcome and always make your visit enjoyable. They run a very good pub. Would definitely recommend a visit

We came here today for a Sunday lunch. The staff members were very friendly and helpful, all round clean place. Huge portions and great quality! Will Defo be returning!

After hearing of new owners, we decided to give it a try, and we weren’t disappointed.
Very friendly welcoming staff. We had a delicious Sunday roast. Ample portions, everything home cooked and of good quality.
A fantastic addition to Dartford.

Occasionally pop in here of a Friday evening for a drink. Staff are friendly and never make me wait for a drink. A couple of screens showing sports, pool table, beer garden, dj on Saturday nights.

The Royal Oak has been standing on this spot for a few hundred years. It seems a shame that Shepherd, Neame have not made more of it. Pleasant enough place to have a pint, especially if you are local.

Found this pub as it had been recommended to me, what a disappointment, walked in ordered a drink from the surly unwelcoming barmaid only to be told I have rung the bell we shut at eight, it was 7.20 and there were nicer ways to explain that, what a shame. And no explanation why they shut at eight, my advice, don't bother.
