Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We always buy our coffee beans from here, its by far the best coffee we've had! It is a bit expensive but its worth the price for us. There's lots of different types and they will grind the beans for you if you need. The...staff have always been very friendly and helpful whenever we've been.More

Although the coffee is very good, I don’t think I will be visiting this place any time soon. Unless someone offers me a coffee without me needing to face their customer service that clearly has an attitude. Bought myself a cappuccino and my son asked...for a babyccino. We were on the go( they do not welcome pushchair customers indoors anyway), but the small babyccino( or esspresso) cup did not have a lid, so I asked it to be poured into a bigger cup. The answer from the barista was that they don’t do it as it costs money! I was shocked at his answer, but said, I can pay for this bigger cup with a lid ( not to mention the overprised price for a shot of hot milk). At that point the barista said it’s ok( did he feel ashamed, may be?😎) It is not the first time the arrogant customer service in this place has left me surprised. I will choose other coffee places and there are plenty of places that serve hot shots of milk free or under a pound too;-) Dissapointed local customer.More

Great coffee, great selection of pastries and a fine selection of coffee paraphernalia. So much better than the nasty chains.

Simply the best quality coffee in the area. I'll regularly drive out of my way on the way to work in order to get a coffee from here as opposed the the usual chains nearby Highly recommended

Tip : Viento is small so may be worth a phone call to check space if you are travelling to visit A great coffee shop about a 10 minute walk from Watford Junction train station. Coffee was very good - full of flavour. We opted...for breakfast - hot menu is limited and we opted for scrambled eggs on sourdough. Eggs were lovely and light , although strangely served sweet chilli sauce which may not be to everyone's tastes (served on the side). Worth a visit.More

Probably the best coffee shop in Watford! Very selfishly, thank goodness it’s out of the town centre to keep it from being overcrowded! The coffee is excellent and they have oat milk (the king of plant milks). Food menu is simple but with enough choice,...including vegan options. The avo on toast in excellent and I’ve heard rave reviews of the arancini too. There’s also a great range of sweet treats. Service is always so friendly and the super chilled vibes make this an ideal place to while away a few hours.More

I love a good coffee and this place has got just that! With loads of choice and a great breakfast to go along with it you can stop for something to eat or just go for the coffee. It’s small inside but I’ve never struggled...to get a seat. The staff are charming and I’ve never had a bad experience.More

Popped in for a nice cup of coffee and was served terrible liquid of dark colour in a huge plastic glass - because apparently they didn't have the glass ones left or it was too late or something. They appear to pose themselves as some...kind of coffee experts but the only conclusion I made was that what they make is the kind of a drink that has not even remotest resemblance of coffee - tasteless and horribly smelling. Avoid this place and if you were unlucky enough to get in - try to limit your options to espressos - they can get those ones wrong, can they?More

This coffee shop has an excellent choice of roasted beans and the coffee is really good, as is the food . However the tea is another story £2:40 for a tea bag in a small cup, and no top up of hot water... payment for...a second cup of tea is necessary.Teapots would resolve this and make for happier customers... apparently this is not the first time a top up with hot water has been requested and refused.. such a shame to what otherwise would have been a lovely morning stop off for a cuppa .More

We went to Viento, based on the good reviews. Having walked in we were told they would not serve us as we had a puchchair. There was no apology, not a hint of friendliness. We were left wondering whether we don't fit their young, trendy...profile, one of us is old, one black and we had a baby. We left feeling humiliatedMore

Left very disappointed today and dont think will be ever coming back. Asked for standard black coffee which they could only serve in a take away cup. Coffee was awful, it was filled to the rim with hot water and I couldn't taste coffee at...all. When I complained they started arguing that this is how they normally serve. This is not true as I have been to this place before. Anyway I asked to add extra shot to my coffee for which they decided to charge me. Really? Oh well! Very disappointed.More

Love this coffee shop, can only really go at weekends as I work in London but if I've got a day off I always pop in to get my regular cappuccino and ham & cheese croissant and always go at the weekend. I usually get...a take-a-way as I'm always in a rush but have sat in a few times and it's very nice. Staff are lovely and I like their loyalty scheme which soon adds up to free coffee which is by far the best in the area.More

My partner and I are regular Viento visitors (and both very into our coffee). I genuinely cannot believe how fortunate we are to have the best coffee shop for 50 miles in any direction literally on our doorstep! The coffees are always perfectly brewed, the...staff are very friendly and professional and whilst the coffee shop itself is quite small and very cosey, this only adds to its inherent charm. It’s a mini oasis of calm and tranquility on the St Albans road. I simply don’t know how anyone can give them a bad rating - I’ve never had a bad coffee there. Ever. All I can possibly think of is given it is quite small inside and so popular, said negative reviewer may have struggled to get a seat. Watford is very fortunate to have Viento in its midst!More

The coffee is fantastic, I can certainly vouch for that. As for the peppermint tea, which I know they serve, I can't comment but my wife tells me it is a good brand
