Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely restaurant in pub, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Good choice of drinks from pub too. Restaurant does not cater to vegetarians and this was not clear from online menu or recent previous reviews (both of which were checked before booking). The overwhelming majority of dishes...contain shrimp paste or oyster sauce - these sauces are all ordered pre-prepared so they cannot be made without, even if requested in advance. The menu shows vegetable/vegetable and tofu options so we (wrongly) assumed they can be made vegetarian like all other Thai restaurants we have been to. There were a couple of stir fries and noodle dishes that we could have and one starter (vegetable spring rolls also had fish). Strongly recommend dishes are explicitly stated on the menu with V/Ve sign so can make an informed decision at time of booking. Also don’t serve dessert so we left still hungry and not really satisfied.More

We have recently moved, and this lovely friendly pub is a 5 minute walk from us, so we decided to pop in for Sunday lunch, and boy, we were so happy we did. We perused the menu and decided on sharing 3 starters which were...ribs, prawns and chicken sate, we were amazed at the portion size and the quality of the food, presented very nicely hot and very tasty Mains were sweet and sour pork, and chicken with cashew nuts that came with rice. Again very generous portions hot and tasty The staff are all very friendly, we will definitely returnMore

Really busy at 8pm - both had deep fried duck with sauce and rice. Absolutely delicious! We’ll be back! Lovely staff and enjoyed a really pleasant couple of hours. Well done.

I travel all over the world.I have visited Thailand many times and I am familiar with Thai cuisine. We have visited and enjoyed food at Mr Tings (Nascot Arms) pre covid. They reopened recently. We ordered Take away food for well over £100.00c and were...looking forward to enjoying the food. A total disappointment. I ordered the following: Menu No 10. X 2 Supposed to be Tom Yum soup. This was just two prawns, a small tomato, a mushroom cut into four. Just plain water and salt. They have no idea what Tom Yum soup is. I score -99 out of 100. The whole lot ended up in the bin. Menu No 15. X1. What a disappointment. The whole serving ended up in the bin. Score 10 out of 100. No idea how to do this dish. Menu SP8. X 1. What a joke. Two Mussles, two prawns, 4 uncooked, stale, raw Thai aubergiens, two peices of squid (OK) and coconut milk. Do they have any idea about Thai cuisine. Score 10 out of 100. Menu 39. X 4. My ten year old grand child can cook better than this. Awful. All of it ended up in the bin. Noodles, prawns, chicken and just curry powder. Worst Singapore Noodles I have ever seen. I do not honestly believe they have a Thai chef let alone a chef. The food had been prepared by someone who has no idea about food and certainly no clue about Thai food. Will avoid this place like a plague. What a disappointmentMore

My wife and I chose to visit for our Anniversary Meal because we had visited before and really loved it. We were absolutely vindicated by another fantastic meal which was tasty, fresh and affordable priced. On a personal level it was nice to eat some...Thai food that had a pleasant kick/spice to it, something which has been missing on visits to other Thai based cuisine establishments (Giggling Squid I’m looking at you). The fact this place is regularly booked out weeks in advance shows the esteem in which it’s held. Well done everyone at Mr Tings!More

We all had Lovely food. Red curry and Massaman curries were ordered. We went on a Monday evening and the place was busy so there was a really nice atmosphere. The staff were great too.

Just not the same. Shame because it used to be lovely. No atmosphere. Rushed service and overpriced drinks. No wonder it was empty!

Waited ages to be able to afford a takeaway. So upset. Ordered lamb dish was sent chicken - which I don’t eat. Ate the rice and sauce and crackers as was hungry. Called and explained was upset. Was told to bring dish back and will...give us lamb - live 20 mins away. Explained eaten the sauce was told to bring the chicken back and could get a discount off another dish? Chicken back? Discount? You didn’t give me what I wanted? Very poor and now still hungry!More

I've been eating at Mr Ting's for years, and it really is the best Thai food this side of (and including) Bangkok. My only disappointment is that spare ribs were temporarily removed from the menu a few years ago, and they still haven't come back...yet!More

Been twice, mushroom soup, chicken cashew - add chilli, the best Thai food I've found outside of Thailand, and I have been there. Nice local pub, good selection of beers, friendly though "blokey". Can order in the restaurant area or in the lounge. The service...is friendly but no-nonsense. The menu has good options and service was fairly quick on both occasions. Chop sticks available which is the only way, but need to ask. I have to be in Watford once a week and having now discovered the Nascott Arms pub it is my go-to for a decent beer and outstanding food.More

We booked for a birthday celebration. From minute we sat down we felt rushed. Waiting staff constantly asking us to order. The food came out quickly, but plates were cleared as others in table ate. Bill was bought as soon as we finished. Birthday celebration...therefore lasted just over 1 hour. We won’t be back! A shame because food was lovelyMore
