A pleasant lunch.

We came here for lunch and it was our first time at this restaurant, and were welcomed by a friendly gentleman, we were served by a not so friendly waitress. We asked for a small bottle of water and she arrived with one glass only, so we had to ask for another, which seemed quite obvious as there were two of us. The humus and bread were lovely and the two main courses we had were also enjoyable. We got the bill for the FULL amount and the waitress told us just to pay half which we paid as requested in cash, as they had registered to do the "Eat out to help out" scheme. I was taking what seemed like the receipt with me but was then told that she needed to keep it to claim the 50% back. Therefore I did not have a receipt which I like to keep obviously. The restaurant was clean as was the bathroom.

Excellent Food and friendly service

Had a lovely meal there on a Wednesday. Only 2 tables booked including us and so we felt very safe regarding covid. We were shown around the restaurant at the newly refurbished shisha area and given complimentary baclava after our meal. We ordered a main dish and 8 sides between two of us (we are big eaters) and this was more than enough food. It came to around £50 which was reasonable and we had ordered A Lot of food! Definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Close proximity to Watford Junction... Literally 5 minutes to walk and you bring your own alcohol.

Amazing fresh food and great service

The back of the restaurant is classed as outside (although it doesn't feel cold in anyway) we visited yesterday 12th April for my dad's birthday 4 people. We went for the mezze and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. Its bring your own alcohol and cash only, however its so reasonable you don't need to put on a credit card to pay after payday. I have already booked a couple more visits and look forward to going back.

The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Our youngest son wanted his 21st birthday party here. We took over almost the entire back room. The staff were amazingly helpful with putting up decorations and sorting out things like cakes and bubbly. We all had the set menu and the staff were great with sorting out vegetarian and vegan options for the members of the group who weren't meat eaters. We had a great night and couldn't have planned it better anywhere else. The belly dancer was great fun. Will definitely return.

Enjoyable takeaway!

We went for takeaway as the restaurant We ordered starters including falafel and hummus I had laham meshwi and my wife had mousaka for main courses. It was really nice to have a delicious well cooked meal that we hadn’t had to prepare ourselves during lockdown. We had enough left for a snack lunch the following day. The restaurant is partially opening soon in the garden room and we look forward to enjoying a meal out for the first time this year.

The best lebanese cuisine I have ever had and it is my favourite type of food !

The food here is amazing even the takeaway has as large portion sizes. Would definitely recommend eating here. The menu is large and has an abundance of different foods available at amazing quality . A wide range of flavours for shisha were available . I found the shisha garden and restaurant were beautifully presented a great area to enjoy some great food . I was able to bring my own alcohol unlike another restaurant that would cause an issue . The service was amazing and the staff were kind and informative when explaining dishes .

Family visit

If you like mediterranean/middle eastern style food, this is a good little restaurant. We were in a hurry to get somewhere with our two daughters so couldn't stay long sadly only having time for one course but the menu had plenty of variety. It was also early in the evening so very quiet; the food was well presented, tasty and arrived quickly, the service was friendly. Somewhat surprisingly they were only taking cash payments but we were directed to an ATM very close by to get cash. They don't sell alcohol they told me but you can bring your own bottle ( a corkage fee is applied)

Amazing and Delicious

If you are looking for delicious food Nana’s is the best restaurant to eat at. The restaurant is lively. I found that the service was relatively prompt and the food was above my expectations, when I left I was satisfied and full of delicious food. 100% recommend.

Delicious food, amazing service

I would highly recommend this family-run Lebanese restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful the whole evening. You can also bring your own drinks which helps to bring the price down. I will definitely be returning!

Amazing Family Restaurant

I have visited this restaurant numerous times now, with my partner. However this time i chose to go with some of my girlfriends who had never been before. They could not believe that they had never heard of this little gem, but will now make it the place to meet in future. The food was of fantastic, fresh, tasty and perfectly served by wonderful staff who couldn't do any enough for us. The lovely dancer also needs to be praised for the engaging way she entertained her audience. I am so pleased that they have survived though this pandemic and have excelled with their exemplary service. I cannot recommend this beautiful little gem enough. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon xx

Incredible Food and Service

Wonderful restaurant, went there for a birthday meal as a couple, the staff were helpful and friendly, advised us on the nearest cash point (restaurant was cash only) and the place to buy drinks for BYOB. Good menu recommendations and adjustments for diary requirements. Several diners there and a good atmosphere. Waiter brought us a dessert plate of cream and pastries as a treat for saying it was his birthday, so generous and kind. Sorry that we aren't local or I think we would eat there regularly.

Great little gem

Great little gem on St Albans road - friendly, helpful service and tasty food. Menu is perfect - plenty to choose from and not so much that it takes all night to decide. We visited in the evening and found that their card machine wasn’t working so we had to get cash from the shop a few doors down with 99p charge.

Family Meal

We went recently as a family (two adults, two kids 12 & 10), but have been going sporadically since it opened >10 years ago. The food is always fresh and tasty, the owners are friendly and the atmosphere great. Recommend.

Great little place.

I have eaten here several times over the years usually for lunch but this visit was for dinner. All food was freshly cooked and delicious. Vegan friendly options are available; the staff are friendly and will advise on the menu. A great little place for relaxed dinner with friends. We will be back very soon.

Fabulous food and service

We came as a family of four while staying in Watford after visiting the Warner Bros Studios Tour. Our party consists of a vegan, a vegetarian, and two who don't eat red meat (one of which dislikes vegetables)! All of us were catered for with no problems. The food was fresh and delicious and the service absolutely spot on - attentive without being in your face. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
