Everything was excellent the quality of food and the service, nice cosy areas rather than a large open space

We have been coming to The Boat Inn for over 10 years now on and off and have never had a bad meal. Tonight was rather disappointing, bar staff and maitre de were more concerned in conversing with each other than with customers and the food was rather average and luke warm compared to the usual high standard. Not sure... More

We had a lovely meal with the family at The Boat, delicious food and a lovely gesture of a box of Roses.

We attended for Mother's Day and will not be returning. Staff extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Dirty atmosphere and cold food. Would not have minded if the pub was busy. It wasn't. A huge disappointment and I would not recommend. Such a shame as the place has real potential.

Looking for somewhere to have a quick dinner, we happened upon The Boat Inn. It was rather full. A good sign, but we were given a good table and our orders were taken speedily. Sadly, there was a slight mix up with the starters but this was rectified immediately. The food was well cooked, decently presented and quite tasty. The... More

Been to the Boat before and always had a perfect meal. This was a large family meal, all had different starters, and we all enjoyed them,I chose a starter I wouldn't normally try , duck wings - the portion was generous , four large wings with a beautiful rosemary dip sauce-the wings tasted amazing . The main meal was 9... More

Visited here this evening for a family celebration. The food was pretty awful. I had brewers chicken and the food was practically cold and presentation poor. My husband had burger and fries and the burger looked dry and tasted awful so he couldn't eat it. We didn't like to complain as it was a birthday meal and we weren't paying.... More

This is our usual place for celebration. Food was a while coming out which we didn't actually mind but may explain why my lasagne was only luke warm. The hog roast burger wasn't as tasty as expected. The gammon burger part tasted odd.

Never having been to a Chef and Brewer pub before had no idea what to expect. Unfortunately it was a really really bad experience. The "kitchen" clearly has no qualified chef in fact I suspect no chef at all. The food is merely bought in frozen and reheated in a microwave. It is tasteless and highly processed. I had the...
