This was a Sunday and we ordered the roast lamb . It was presented well and there were three lovely big pieces of lamb. The gravy was in pots as I have very little and my husband loves a river. Good food, good beer lovely...atmosphere . We will return.More

Visited with friends after it had been closed for refurbishment. The decor was fresh and modern and the staff welcoming. We went at lunchtime and although we hadn't booked and the restaurant was quite busy we were shown to a nice table. The menu looked...similar to the previous one with good choices for all tastes, and the prices were typical for this type of eatery. My wife had chicken, our friends salmon and I had the beef burger. My wife's and friends enjoyed their meals but i found my beef burger to be overcooked and was disappointed that it was only accompanied with french fries with no extras. The Yew Tree has a good choice of drinks with a selection of beers. We would visit again, but this time ask for the lunch menu that has lighter bites, unfortunately we were unaware of this on our visit as the menu hadn't been put out on the table.More

Lovely roast dinners with generous portions and lots of vegetables, and side of cauliflower cheese was excellent. Good value too. Also dog friendly.

We popped in shortly after the boys BMX session had finished and the boys had certainly worked up an appetite. As soon as we were shown to our table by a friendly chap he promptly took our order. The food arrived piping and the sense...of 'home cooking' evident to see (and taste). Tables cleared and boys egar to sample the desert delights which I think they found overfacing due to the generous helping. My wife and I opted to a cappuccino instead which was lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive with the boys coming away even saying how 'cool' everyone in there was. Thank you Yewtree and see you again soon!More

Excellent place for a family lunch. Staff were brilliant finding us a booth because the granddaughter wanted to sit in one. Service was great and no problems when we asked if the kids meals could come with the starters and some starters to come as...mains. They were so helpful nothing was to much trouble and to top it off the food was amazing too!!More

I've been here about 8 times in the last 12-18 months with both the mrs and family, consistently great food with so much to choose from. Staff are always lovely and the food is quality pub grub. So much to choose from on the various...menus and the pub itself is fantastic inside, live sport on, clean and a good atmosphere. Reasonably priced unlike some near by alternatives - begins with H and ends in S. Cant praise enough. Cheers guys and girls at the Yewtree!More

We live locally on the Walton Park Estate but haven't been in the Yew Tree before. We went yoday on a whim for our lunch and I've got to say I was really impressed and would definitely go back again. It's not cheap (but not...as expensive as The Hunters) but the food was really nice. You could tell the staff were very keen to ensure we had a good experience. Will definitely return for something to eat soon, looked like some good options on the menu I'd like to try. Thank you.More
