Enjoyed a lovely family Sunday lunch here on Easter Sunday. Lovely choice of vegetarian dishes which suited us as 5 out of the 6 were vegetarian.

6 of us spent a few hours here at the weekend... Really reasonably priced pint (well, much cheaper than where I live!) with friendly staff and locals. Had some chips and garlic bread, all of which were nice, too.

Celebrating my husbands 60th we chose the Grapes Inn to have our meal and drinks. The manager is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are efficient and friendly and the food was lovely. I would recommend the sea bass and scallops. There is a wonderful menu and a very welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates good... More

Popped in here for a quick lunch. Food was fine and they do a lunch club deal Tuesday to Thursday. 7.95 soup and a sandwich. Or a free starter or desert with a main course.

A fantastic local pub. Always busy with great people. The landlord John and his staff are wonderful. Sunday roasts are the best I have ever had!! Today's Sunday roast was out of this world. Tender beef, crispy fluffy roast potatoes with leeks mashed carrot and cauliflower. Fantastic home made gravy. To die for!!!

Taken here by a family friend, what a great find! Chose from the 'Sunday menu' as it was a Sunday 😉The food was excellent, service also good. The overall atmosphere was superb, a 'proper pub' with a choice of real ales and wines.

As a proud Yorkshireman, I'm well aware there are few good reasons to travel to this part of the country. This proper English pub is a perfect exception. Nice and relaxed, great range of beers and exceptional, properly homemade food, friendly Lancastrian staff (ikr) and suitably fierce fires. And no better jam sponge on the planet.

Very friendly atmosphere. Three of us had different dinners, all cooked to perfection. The only problem was,the service. Side dishes served a while after the mains. The chef was let down by the serving staff.

Thank Pat P
