It's great to be back! Thank you for your ongoing support over the last year. A few things to consider before you visit: Booking is not essential, though we would recommend you book in advance. Outdoor service is limited to guests in groups of six or two households (no limit on number) is permitted. Please note we may need to vary our opening hours and food service times given the time of year and the unpredictable nature of our Great British weather! Track and trace requirements have changed meaning all guests over 16 years of age must check in and provide their contact details. Unfortunately we must refuse service if guests do not comply. To get the most up-to-date notices on our re-opening,…
Went to the Hesketh arms recently and enjoyed a lovely family meal, the table service really came in handy while eating out with a new baby so I was very pleased with everything the manageress and staff had put in place to assist us during...our visit. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back again!More
I Want to thank Sue for our courtious table service whice never kept us waiting for drinks or food. The food was amazing and we felt welcome even with our little one. I'd reccomend the Hunters Chicken, it was unreal! All in all lovely pub...that serves fresh ale and delicious food!More
Let me tell you the new owners have turned this place around massively in just a few short weeks! I cant wait to see what they make of the place. The food and service was phenomenal. I felt so welcome and it was nice to...see the staff interact with the customers. Fully reccomend this place 5*More
For god sake DON’T GO Here to EAT
Arrived no staff around, didn’t request track and trace details, no hand sanitiser. We should have left then.
Finally served by a member of Staff that quite frankly had an attitude like a ‘bear with a...sore head,
WHY DID’NT WE LEAVE THEN.
TBH, we were really hungry. Food took ages to arrive, and wasn’t hot..
Ordered Sunday lunch. ABYSMAL. Small amount of mash, frozen Yorkshire pudding, garden peas ( which were cold), gravy congealed, chicken (very dry) and wait for it cold chips ! Left half of my meal. BurgerS ( which was described as “cowboy burger”) which is ok if your ‘Woody’ from Toy Story. Again, cold chips “half of them must have fell off the plate”, burger mediocre.....
Not bad, closer inspection. The bar was sticky and there was tables left uncleared.
Rowdy group of me. “Who we’re old enough to know better” swearing and yawping at each other. Not socially distancing.
Ok if you like walking through “smokers alley” to the car park.
Only good thing to say is they that car park is large and it’s easy to find... but, don’t bother, drive past.More
Very rude staft, no service attall a disabled customer told to get his own cutlery like everyone else. Complained and ask to see the owner to get told I am the landlady don't like it get out don't come back. Infront off 9 kids.
the overall experience of xmas day was terrible . We were supposed to eat at 3pm but didn't get food until 4.30pm. the food was terrible . my son walked out . the staff were ignorant and rude , the manageresses wouldn't give a refund.... People were walking out because no food no tables set .it was disgraceful . We were given a voucher to return after complaining to Marston but the management of the Hesketh refused to honour it which i think is terrible . the manageress went on to tell my son to get a job instead of sitting there drinking needless to say he has a job . We will not be returning at any cost .More
Sunday 24th november
A bunch of customers were very loud and swearing loudly. One of the bar staff was too busy chatting to serve me.
The worst was I went into the toilet to change my babys nappy... What a disgrace.I took photos decided to...leave the premises.and change my baby in the car..we Will not be returning.More
