I love the Duke. You always feel comfortable in there. Really good drinks and they have games consoles. Actual games consoles to play while drinking with mates.

After a painfully slow wait for our food, I was served the worst excuse for a veggie burger I've ever seen. Not really a burger, more of a slop of bland chickpeas on a bun, accompanied by coleslaw which smelled as if it had been sat in the sun all day, and a salad which consisted of some undressed bitter... The first time I've ever visited the duke and I was amazed. Fantastic decor starting from walking through the front door. Large windows at the front with mirrors on the side to make the space look even larger. Fantastic length bar, furniture is perfect for the style of bar. We noticed they had booths for younger people to play computer... More

Popped in to the Duke on Sunday afternoon and seeing it online. Loved the décor and bar area. We did not know about the roof terrace until the bar staff informed us. So cool. We had the whole terrace to ourselves for first half hour. Loved the layout and furniture.

Went to the duke on a Tuesday night to watch champions league football. They had a few big screens so many people could watch without it getting too crowded. There are lots of places to sit and plenty of places to stand. There is a pool table and private booths where people were (seemingly) playing video games on the TVs... More

We'd popped into a pub across the road and didn't fancy it, thought we'd try out this quirky pub! Wasn't expecting so much food and it was totally lush. We had a half yard pizza which was to die for. The smell of stale beer was strong around the seating area, but loved the feel of the place defo come... More

I've been to Duke many a time in the evening before a night out. It's usually everyone's go to bar before going elsewhere to dance after midnight. It's great value, a great atmosphere and always full, making it the perfect starting point for a night on the town. That being said, I went there for lunch last week and the... More

Visited this bar a few times in March. Wide selection of drinks and a phenomenal menu for a bar, excellent quality, value for money and great portion sizes. Went the week after and to my disappointment they had changed the menu as 'the old one was 2 years old' and they had new chefs. The selection was limited but still... More

I feel compelled to write my first review after popping into The Duke today. I had an absolutely fantastic steak gorgonzola & rocket sandwich on fresh ciabatta with a mouth watering dipping sauce. It was washed down with an ice cold pint of Camden Hells. Music was a mix of soul & funk classics. Decor was cool without trying too... More

Great bar for students and locals with great deals on food and drinks. On Tuesday if you spend £5 you also get a free q jump for Smack that evening which is a great deal. Big projector screen at the back makes it ideal for watching sports games (if you manage to get the sofa in front of it!)
