We recently visited on a very cold evening and were welcomed by a lovely log fire. Good choice of food on menu and good selection of beers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food portions are more than adequate.

Very busy place, so you might want to book. 5 of us ate here one night when we were visiting the Cotswolds. Overall, food was decent, but not overwhelmingly marvellous. Service was good.

Hadn't been to The Lygon Arms Hotel before, so my husband and I are thrilled to have found this gem. Really lovely ambiance about the place. Great food and plenty of it and the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. All round excellence. Oh, and a roaring fire to warm yourself by. Thanks all.

We came in here for some lunch last week and wow the food was delicious, really enjoyed it, the lady that served us was lovely and we sat by the log burner which was fantastic on a cold November day. Will definitely be coming back here.

Lots of game on the menu and the duck was perfectly prepared. My husband opted for his favourite - fish and chips which came with three vegetable dishes and a generous portion of everything.

We had a brilliant meal here, every table was booked, and if we'd have had time would certainly have gone again. The staff are very pleasant, there's an extensive menu and the food is fab.

Booked prior to arriving in town. I had read previous reviews about waiting for your meal, so had a concern. We ordered a burger, gammon, and fish and chips. We had a corner seat in the bar, the staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a small bar area, a group of locals had met for a drink and it made... More

Barmaid was very very rude (Chelsea?). Questioned our booking time without even so much as a welcome or hello. Service from then was okay. Nothing to write home about. Starters okay for £7.50 each, but £25 each for 2 over cooked steaks. Being a chef, I questioned the waitress and was told that the steak was only over cooked as... More

It looks beautiful, it probably is. But, if you're not from Chipping Campden, then be prepared to be looked over and treated as if you're invisible. Special mention to the staff who are adept at serving locals first.

We stayed at a close by B&B, and ate here on both nights. We arrived both times without a reservation. We were very lucky to get a table the second night, but as they recognised us from the previous night and we arrived early, we were lucky as they were turning people away! The food wasn't a standout, but it... More
