Me and my partner decided to visit as we have both been previously however separately. When we arrived we were told there was a 45 minute wait which actually turned into 1 hour and 20 minutes bare in mind I am 20 plus weeks pregnant. After we were allocated a table and ordered our starter which by the way I wasn’t impressed with as their weren't many vegetarian options. Our starter was humus with pita it came out 20 minutes later along with our drinks then our mains came out after a good 40/50 minutes. When I would ask staff where our food was , they would each give different answers. At least two members of staff were patronising and rude. To top this off I also found 2 hairs in my pepper corn sauce so I won’t be visiting again and don’t recommended it to anyone.

Very disappointing!

Went here for a meal as a family firstly being greeted and seated wasn’t an issue ordered food starters came started to eat and found a hair in the chicken called over the waiter he apologised and asked if we would Like the same that was on the plate which was chicken strip and lamb chops. Waited about 20 mins whilst my family was eating there’s. For it then to come out wrong very dissatisfied. Then the mains came out and was nothing like what was mention in the menu the rice was awful tasted like microwave rice Tasteless. Mocktails was mediocre nothing to write home about. Won’t be visiting again.

I agree with everyone says that this overrated restaurant. I have been few times to this restuarent and every time I came out with the same impression. But just to be honest, this is a busy restuarent so obviously not many might agree with me . 1. This restuarent doesn't take reservations so if you are big group you might end up waiting endless ( waiting area doesn't fit everyone ) 2. Food : I found food is tastless. Nothing special about it 3. Service: make sure that you tell the waiter that you want to be served food together . Usually the don't bring all the food together so some might start eating and maybe finish their food while other still waiting .happened to me You can't pay on the table but you have to go to till to pay . You can't split the bill amount you but one person should pay the total . So if you are big group one person might end up paying over 300 pounds. 4. Very difficult to find parking 5. If you are one of these people worries about COVID , then you need to know there are no social distance in this restuarent

Gone so downhill

Used to go a lot a few years ago and the food was amazing We went in November we waited 30mins to be seated which is understandable due to COVID however my friends and I order different things if the menu and the food was dry, bland and not worth the price at all. I order the chicken steak with cheese and chilli and honestly i could of done a better job at home. The service was crap they kept forgetting stuff and saying they would come back with knives and folks but kept forgetting. I definitely would not go back, it’s a shame cos this place used to be amazing

Sneaky service charge!

I think Yaya's standards have dropped, been many times before as the quality and pricing have been spot on. My favourite steak has gone up by £3 which I'm not complaining about, but it was very chewy and tough which spoilt the meal. Service wasn't great so you can imagine the shock when I realised the 10% service charge they sneaked on to the bill! Since when have you been doing that Yaya's??? Portions have gone smaller too whilst the prices have gone up. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. Very disappointed. Now had a response (on Google reviews) from the owner saying service charge is optional, this wasn't pointed out to me when I was paying the bill and I didn't see it until I looked at the receipt at home!

Value for money is excellent

When it comes to finding a good steak, I find it very difficult to find a place I would actually visit again. I have to say that Yaya's is probably my favourite halal steak place due to the price, the quality of the steak and all the inclusions (chips/veg/mash/sauce) and I am definitely going again at some point. I bought a Sirloin Steak and ordered it Medium Rare. It was a very succulent cut with little fat and cooked to what I would describe as perfection. Unfortunately, my friend who ordered the same cut got given a Rare steak when he asked for Medium Rare but this was quickly resolved with very little resilience. The waiter who got us seated initially was extremely welcoming and friendly. We only had to wait 25 minutes on a busy Sunday evening. The staff in general gave us a pleasant experience and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to eat out in Manchester. The location is very easy to access for people coming in from the North side especially as you can avoid the city centre.

This place is massively overated. The waiter who initially attended to us was ill mannered. When asked for a glass coke bottle he said they dont serve them, only in jugs. So when he disappeared we asked the nice waitress the same and she proceeded to bring us coke bottles which were clearly being served. The service apart from that one jackass could not be faulted. The mocktails were nice. The mains is where things became depressing. Asked for medium steak which was served overcooked but the same jackass waiter was adament its medium. The braised beef was absolutely tasteless due to lack of seasoning. Portions for pretty much everything were small for the money this place charges. Bottom line is, this was the first and last visit for us to Yayas.

Reluctant at first but was amazed in the end

So I've been here over 3 years ago but completely forgot about this place. We were reluctant to try this place as there have been a fair few negative reviews. Boy were we mistaken, the wait for a table was about 30 mins, they don't take bookings. The food we expected around 40 mins wait for it came within 20 mins! We ordered two mocktails which were good, T bone steak and shredded grilled chicken. What can i say the food was outstanding, seriously, i dont know if we were just lucky but the food was amazing. The t bone steak was cooked exactly how we wanted and had great taste was really fresh too and huge. It came with veg, mash and chips. The normal peppercorn sauce is delicious. The shredded chicken was marinates to perfection, the spice was just right too. Again it came with, mash, chips, ved and sauce. Those complaining about portion size must have HUGE appetites. I can't wait to go back again, they just nees to sort the wait times for table, have a few more waiters on hand to help out and maybe some chocolates after paying?

Excellent Meal!!! We Love Yayas!!!

Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night. Seated immediately, nice comfortable booth. Ordered within 5 minutes. Starter; Fish Masala (l2 arge fish pieces in a light batter fried, with a salad and a nice dip) arrived within 10 minutes, they were excellent. Main course Chicken Karahi hot, Nan Breads, chips and a gourmet chicken burger arrived 10 minutes after the starter dishes were cleared. Nan was really good. Chips were good. Karahi was beautiful, amazing, delightful. They have a truly talented chef(s). The gourmet burger with chips was good. Service was excellent. Drinks were cold. The restaurant was very clean. They charged a £4 Service charge automatically, but for some reason showed me the final bill beforehand so I knew about the charge probably, as I can see many ppl have complained about this charge. Too be perfectly honest, I would normally tip this much anyway and the service was brilliant. Really good waiters, managers, etc. We will definitely be back again. Thank-you very much indeed Yayas, a truly great meal!!! Keep up the great work!!! I would recommend you to anyone and everyone, so would my family!!!

Every dish was superb!

Visited as a family, and each dish was enjoyed by all. There was a little wait to be seated, and considering how good the food was, it is understandable why there was a short wait. Waiters were attentive in their service and ensured we had all we needed. Will be going back again soon

Restaurant looked as if it was going through some refurbishment with massive gaping holes in the wall and electrical wiring showing. Disappointed with whole experience. Waiters lacking any knowledge of the dishes, certain dishes not available. Ordered a steak and asked for it to be medium done but was told it would be well done!!! Overpriced for what you are getting in terms of a meal and eating out experience!

Steak no MISTAKE

Service 3/10 They take ages in taking your order, they don't have and napkins or cutlery at the tables. The seating or chairs are seriously minging and have never been cleaned. Food, 4/10 The food takes ages to arrive, seriously ages. The food between courses takes ages too and your sat there for ages with your empty plates infant of you. The actual food (Steaks) are dry and not cooked properly and the Curries have so much oil in them that if you told the USA they would invade. This is one of those restaurants that you would find in Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares before it done up. My advice Avoid until you see a sign saying "Recently Refurbed" or "under New Management" or "Recently on "Gordon Ramsey Kitchen nightmares"

Great Food Is Worth Waiting For!!!

Tried to get in last Saturday at 7.30pm, but the wait was too long, 2 hours!!! Went early this week, arrived at 6.30pm and we were seated immediately. We had chicken tikka starter, which was absolutely amazing, flavoured and cooked to perfection, large succulent pieces of flavoursome chicken tikka. We had Peri Fries, below par, far too much peri coating. We had a Gourmet Burger with cheese, which was one of the best burgers we have ever tasted. We had many butter Nan, absolutely brilliant, I can't imagine any better nan anywhere, absolutely delicious. We had a Chicken Karahi hot, it was fantastic, better than my favourite restaurant. We had egg fried rice, with sweet corn and peas in, it was rather bland and boring. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Soft drinks, 7-up bottles were perfectly cold. 8 out of 10. It was worth waiting a week to get in. We will come back again definitely.

Allergic Reaction. AVOID.

Really bad service and organisation. Was told by staff there were gluten free options. This was confirmed by the “chef” who said the Yayas Chicken Special was gluten free. However once placing the order another staff said this meal contained gluten. I was then forced to change my order to a Chicken Biriyani which was apparently 100% gluten free. Upon eating this I had a very severe allergic reaction and ended up in A&E. Please avoid at all costs as staff do not know about allergies and it is not worth the risk. They will give you false hope and promises to make you order. Will not be visiting again.

Unbelievably the best place I’ve enjoyed an amazing meal with family. Came to Yaya’s from view internet videos and we weren’t disappointed. The menu cover a vast variety of steak meals as well as the Asian cuisine with the modern touch Prices are reasonable. Very clean and I’m very fussy when it comes to hygiene etc. decor layout was modern and sleek Finally the staff are polite and professional. Meals are freshly prepared rather than the usual half cooked
