My girlfriend and I have celebrated every anniversary here and we've introduced many friends to this place. The service is impeccable, the food is amazing and the music is nice, but not annyingly loud. There is a service charge of 10% which I don't think they mention but since everything is up tot he highest standards i see it as suitable. The prices are also very well thought out and you can have an amazing dinner for 2 and come out with the fullest stomach for £40. I must recommend the sauces! They ask you if you need any help and if it is your first time there please allow them to assist you and you will have the best dipping sauce you've ever had.

Enjoyed an excellent meal here - last Thursday in January 2020. Looked into the restaurant and it was packed with all sorts so decided to give it a go after a pint in the nearby pub.
The concept of individual Hot Pots was really good with fantastic foods to add to your pot found on the conveyor belt with other "Special Orders" available too.
I made a mistake and asked for the spicy base. The waiter stated that this comes in levels of spiciness so I asked for the lowest.
God alone knows what the hot version of this must be like as this may possibly be one of the "hottest" culinary experiences of my life. I did ask to swap the soups which was not a problem although I was charged for the privilege but - at these prices I have no real cause for complaint.
Overall a most enjoyable meal and really good fun. Is it the best in Manchester - I am not sure not being a local but at the prices charged certainly exceptional value and the quality of the food was unbeatable.

Ground floor hot pot bar. What a fabulous experience. Can't wait to go back. Courteous and welcoming staff greeted me and my vegan friend. After a very short couple of minutes wait we were escorted to our beautifully clean hot pot stations. The attentive staff brought menus and clearly explained how the system works. You order your choice of broth (my vegan friend chose tomato, i ordered tom yum), visit the dipping sauce station to mix your own choice of dipping sauce from 30 or so ingredients. By the time you return to your seats the broth you've chosen is bubbling. Now comes the exciting part. A conveyor belt snakes it's way in front of you with an array of tempting ingredients. All looked fresh and lovely. You choose a plate or 2 from the conveyor and cook the food in your broth. So simple. Lots of fun. The place was wonderfully busy and vibrant with multinational groups of friends and couples all enjoying the involving experience of cooking in the hot pots. The maitre d'/floor manager came over to check we were enjoying ourselves. And we were. Friendly staff, tasty food, immaculately clean toilets. Can't wait to go back and try the rice & noodle bar downstairs.. the bill for the 2 of us eating vegan choices came to £25.00. Bargain. And delicious.

My husband booked us a table here for my birthday as we'd heard so much about the restaurant. We were greeted by a waiter who asked if it was our first time there and explained the steps of making the hotpot to us. This was very nice of him, however he soon become overbearing. After ordering drinks, I went up to make my dipping sauce and there he was, staring at me before asking if I needed help. I ordered some wontons to cook in my hotpot and left them on the table as I selected my other ingredients. The waiter came back to tell me that I needed to cook the dumplings. This all felt very conscending. The broth wasn't overly flavourful and the wontons, one of the most expensive items you can put in your hotpot, were filled with a paltry amount of frankly gristly meat. We won't be coming back.

I know this review goes against the trend, but I left OnePlus really disappointed. The concept is cool but confusing at first, and the servers (although they were very friendly) didn't explain that well. The soup was bland and the dishes on offer for vegetarians were disappointing. It ends up being quite expensive if you get a few plates (think £20 a head just on food) and they whack a service charge on at the end which leaves a sour taste, because you're cooking your own food! Can see the appeal to some due to the concept, but personally would rather go somewhere else and pay half the price.

Visited here after reading the fabulous reviews in both the Manchester Evening news and on here. We weren't disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of the team who ascertained wether we'd visited before or not. As we hadn't he then went on to show us exactly how to order, where everything was and what to expect. We were then seated at the counter and a drinks order was promptly taken and arrived within minutes, a great start. We decided upon our stock pot flavours as shown and then headed to the sauce station to mix up our own sauces, which we enjoyed. Once the stock pot arrived, my son and I both ordered the chicken stock, we then ordered the steak and prawn won ton which is made fresh on the premises. As the conveyor belt went by we just chose our own vegetables such as Enoki mushrooms, Pak choi, spinach and seaweed. Next came the rice noodles, rice cakes, egg noodles and potato starch. We also chose the king prawns, chicken and pork. It may seem alot, but the plates are not overloaded and the cooking and eating of all these items takes place over a period of time in which you are enjoying the experience, having fun and discussing the varieties of food, etc.
All in all we spent a really pleasant, fun two hours eating fresh, tasty, healthy food in a way that is new and great fun. Plus, the owner came over and was super friendly and really helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, environment, concept and the great team at this restaurant. We'll definitely be back to try out the Chinese BBQ upstairs and the noodle bar below too. I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

Short notice booking on a Saturday evening was accommodated without question and very friendly! Don't be put off by the menu, it might look a little complicated but the staff are excellent and will help you. You have the option to BBQ food yourself at the table or have it come prepared. As we were 8 (indecisive) people, including a very fussy 10 year old, we ordered one set menu for 4 people (we were going to order 2 but were luckily advised to order one first)... What was delivered was an abundance of really tasty food and there was more than enough to satisfy even for fussiest of kids! Service was superb and everything was very reasonable!

Came here after searching Korean BBQ in Manchester on a day out. Other reviews were positive so wanted to try it. Shirley was brilliant talked us through everything as we’d never done it before. Food was fantastic and really well priced, as each dish is individual you can order as much as you want and not waste anything. Will definitely be coming back again to try their Broth and Noodle bars.

One plus has obviously got a great niche in its dining experience but what really made a difference is the manager / owner.
He quite literally came out and talked to all the guests. It wasn't awkward or cringey, it's was genuine, like there was a real sense of welcome and gratitude.
For those that haven't been there's different floors. Highly recommend the noodle bar. You sit down take your ingredients off the conveyor belt and create your own noodles with the broth they bring over.
For families with picky eaters (kids) this place is great as the experience of cooking totally distracts them and encourages them to try new foods with the meal they have just created.
Highly recommend for anyone

Went here for a meal on a Thursday night on the 1st floor the owner came down and recommended dishes and staff expertly talked us through the process! The food was exceptional, had a large selection of beef, chicken, squid, lamb sea bass along with the scallops and an assortment of noodles, fried rice and some veg. Astonishing quality couldn’t recommend enough, the best food and experience in Manchester. Everyone should try this place with such a variety of dining options on each floor! Thanks to the owner and the staff!!

I recently visited this beautiful restaurant for the second time to visit the BBQ floor, and it exceeded my expectations once again! This welcoming atmosphere always provides a feeling of involvement in the preparation of your food, because you can BBQ it yourself! It is also extremely beginner friendly, unlike many other Chinese restaurants which can appear daunting to people not from a Chinese background. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help and guide you through the menu, explaining the food simply to newcomers. Furthermore, if (somehow) the BBQ is not appealing to you, then there is a Chinese hotpot floor and a noodle bar, which all incorporate the same feeling of involvement in the preparation of your food. If you haven’t visited here already, you have to come down and experience the Chinese culture first hand and in a warm and welcoming environment!

Our first visit to One+ was nothing short of outstanding. We were staying at the nearby Ibis hotel, and a quick T. A. search revealed this gem a short walk away. We were met (looking lost) in the main doorway by the owner, who introduced himself and accurately explained the three different types of meal experience the restaurant provided.
I'm glad that he did, and we decided on the upstairs Barbeque.
The menu and options were clearly explained and after some deliberation we plumped for the set meal for 2 at £45.
There are cheaper ways to eat in this way, skewers from a couple of quid each so you don't have to spend as much as we did.
There was a mix of food cooked for us and some we cooked ourself and everything was delicious, particularly the scallop.
Would highly recommend and will be back again!

Ate here while under restricted local lockdown. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, Shirley and Billy taking time to explain to us how it worked and the different options available. We ate in the BBQ and seafood floor of the restaurent and the food was excellent, well prepared and full of flavour. The diners were well spaced out, the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, and we felt safe as all the staff had taken precautions and wore masks ad gloves while working. A very enjoyable evening in this strangest of times.

Very unique concept, handy as people can choose whatever they want to cook. Reasonably priced for hotpot offerings and not a bad way for a vegetarian to enjoy hotpot as they had a lot of options and unlike most places, you don't have to pay for the meat and then leave it out. I ate my fill and it was delicious. Can't wait to bring everyone.

Came here after a recommendation from a friend and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and willing to explain how everything worked for my partner who was something of a novice. Being able to pick up dishes from the little conveyor belt rather than trying to decipher a menu (which in other hot pot restaurants I’ve been to are often in mandarin and something of a pot luck) meant that every item we had was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Easily the best hot pot restaurant I’ve been to outside of China.
