How is Albert's Shed rated?

We are unashamedly a family business. Albert is the uncle of the founder, Jim Ramsbottom, and led the conversion of Dukes 92 in the early 90’s from the original canal side stable block to the Manchester food and drink institution it is today. Albert used to store his tools in the shed where they stayed until the plans for Albert’s Shed were formed. He agreed to move out of the shed to make way for the restaurant on the condition that we named the restaurant after his beloved shed! We have no such excuse for this restaurant, but we couldn't’ think of a better name. So Albert lives on…and why not?

What a find!

We visited for a family/friends get together for a Christmas treat. Never visited before but had a recommendation so thought we'd try the £14.95 lunch menu. Well, what can I say! We were delighted at the standard, quality and presentation of the food. It was...delicious. My daughter is vegan and loved hers too! But it wasn't just the food. The place was so welcoming, beautifully decorated and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely be going back. The full menu looks so delicious 😋 We will be recommending to everybody, what a find!More

Excellent evening meal for two

Excellent meal at very short notice so late on a Wednesday evening. Shout out to Krysia who was great with our dietary needs and all round service.

Attentive waitress

My family and I came for our birthdays and we had Ellie look after us. She was so attentive for my sister who had a dairy allergy. We all had such a lovely evening so thanks Ellie!

Lovely venue and friendly service

Business meal with two clients. The booking process was simple and they smoothly accommodated a client who had special dietary requirements. Sea bass the best ever had and will be back to try again soon!

Great place

Lovely lunch with girlfriends.

Had a very delicious lunch meal with 3 friends. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed ever course ( set menu , 3 courses ) was give plenty of choice and was more than worth it , was extremely tasty. Our server Charlie was a credit...to the restaurant and looked after us very well, extremely welcoming and lovely pleasant outgoing demeanour. The whole restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and all staff we encountered there were just lovely. We will definitely go back for seconds ! 👍😊😋More

Birthday Meal with friends!

Great birthday meal for my husband! The food was delicious and good value for money, atmosphere was really good and our server Krysia was wonderful! We will definitely return!

Harvie is fantastic

Albert's Shed Restaurant Manchester Fantastico

Great place Albert's Shed. Great food, reasonably priced, staff courteous and friendly. Kevin looked after us couldnt do enough. Next time in Manchester wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.

Relaxing and great atmosphere

Great staff, Lovely Restaurant, great food

Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and arrived very quickly the atmosphere in the restaurant is so friendly and laid back.

Great food, fantastic value.

1st visit, visiting oldest daughter who’s at UOM. Varied menu, lots of choice including delicious roast dinner. Great service from Ethan. Really impressed. Wine also really reasonably priced. Delicious dauphinois and carrots!
