Pay this place a visit!

After doing a bit of research on here, I discovered this place had a lot of good reviews so I took a chance! We didn’t book but were seated straight away (it got busier, so I’d book!). The servers were all really friendly and made us feel welcome. We tried a couple of the specials, a pasta dish and a pizza. Everything we ate was authentic and delicious, in particular the special trifle dessert! The bill was also really reasonable, we would definately return when in Manchester & highly recommend it for a good italian meal.

My wife and I went to Manchester last Friday for a day out, a bit of shopping and a lunch. We had lunch in Vincenzo Trattoria and really enjoyed it. The food was really good, and all of the the staff so nice and friendly. It's located centrally in the city and is nicely decorated. We can definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or evening meal, They have a good meny and offers good value for the money. We'll be back!!

Outstanding!

We enjoyed a delicious and well-priced lunch at Vincenzo Trattoria earlier today (09/02/2025). The bread and olives, and especially the spaghetti and meatballs, were superb. The friendly and attentive service added to the enjoyable experience. The inviting atmosphere and fantastic food even tempted us to indulge in dessert, which we rarely do. Highly recommended for authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices.

Good quality but small portions

We visit this restaurant whenever we visit Manchester and upto now it’s never failed to impress us with the general atmosphere and food quality. Tonight we were a little disappointed the portions sizes were very small, however the quality was very good. After asking for the bill the waiter explained there had been a mixup with two tables and asked could we confirm our order. All was correct and in order. At this point I questioned the portion sizes, he explained that they offer a main and starter size. I can only assume we were served a starter dish as opposed to a main, but charged for a main. Probably should have questioned this after the meals were served but I don’t feel comfortable doing this. All in all disappointed with the portion size it was basically the equivalent of a child’s meal. Will visit again but will definitely question the portions if unhappy.

Always delivers on quality and value

Been to Vincenzos more times than I care to remember and never had anything but excellent food accompanied by excellent service. This is a go-to for business lunches and get together with friends. In a city which has so much choice - and quite a few pretentious eateries, this delivers quality and value for money every time and I'd highly recommend it.

Great meal made excellent by our servers

We stopped in on a Sunday night looking for dinner. We had no reservation but space was made available for us. The decor was charming and cosy (probably more suitable for the many couples enjoying a romantic meal than our hot mess of a family). Our servers Stefano and Simon were excellent but special credit is due to Rosa who accommodated our slightly picky children, suggested delicious dishes and even went off the menu for a special custom mocktail. Food was well prepared and executed but the wonderful service made the experience for us. 10/10 would dine again.

This restaurant gets it right. To start off the decor and ambiance of the restaurant is superb. It manages to achieve elegance and charm without being overbearing and pretentious, creating a warm environment to enjoy your meal. The service from the collective of well dressed staff is also fantastic. They are friendly and knowledgeable (especially the gentleman who was our main waiter who’s name I regretfully forgot to note) and manage a skill of pointing out important details of the menu before we’d even think to ask. Without making us feel rushed they remained attentive throughout our visit. The food was excellent. Neatly presented and adequately portioned that delivered in taste. The Arancini starter with married brilliantly with the tomato sauce and was bouncing with flavour. I ate a dish of the specials menu that was absolutely faultless while my partner ate what she described as “incredible”. As for the desserts, I had tiramisu and the mrs had cheesecake, desserts that I always worry are too heavy after such a meal but not these. They were light and delicious and a perfect way to end a delicious meal. Would certainly recommend and will certainly be back.

Outstanding Risotto + Amazing Service!

I stopped by here during my short trip to Manchester and was so impressed by the service and the food. The venue itself is lovely - clean and comfortable, the decor feels more timeless than trendy, which is a nice change nowadays. The service was very attentive and professional. It's been a long time since I've been somewhere where the service is that good, which is maybe down to me staying in Edinburgh, but I was pleasantly surprised at their professionality. I was a bit unsure what wine to order and the waiter was really helpful in explaining the menu to me, I really enjoyed the wine he suggested. And the risotto ai porcini was outstanding, definitely the best risotto I've ever had. For the quality of the food and the service (and the central location), the pricing was very reasonable. Finally, I want to mention that I came here alone during a solo trip to the city and I was made to feel very welcome, as a young woman dining alone I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. It was a perfect way to round off a lovely trip and I'll definitely be back to this restaurant when I'm next in Manchester!

✨ Review: Vincenzo Trattoria, Manchester ✨ Vincenzo Trattoria offers a warm and welcoming dining experience with excellent service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. To start, the ribs were a real highlight—tender, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. The pasta dishes were also impressive—fresh, well-prepared, and full of authentic Italian taste. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, creating a cosy yet stylish atmosphere. A great spot for a relaxed meal with quality food and top-notch service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can't praise them highly enough.

We booked a table for my husbands 73rd birthday and although we arrived early, there was no problem and we told them it was his birthday. We were made to feel very welcome and the waiter thanked us for choosing their restaurant to dine in. We had starters, garlic bread with tomato and pesto and minestrone soup, absolutely delicious and then I had Pollo dolcelatte, my daughter had pollo milanese and my husband had Bistecca Diane. The food was exceptional and although not cheap, definitely worth the money, the restaurant has a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and our servers were Mariano, Steph and Beth, all of whom were very welcoming , friendly and attentive although the restaurant was busy, we ordered a sweet to share and they brought it to the table with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday to my husband, the whole experience was so enjoyable especially as I love Italy and all things Italian 😀 😊 😄.

Definitely recommend if in Manchester

I had booked it for my partners birthday after seeing the reviews and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was incredible and the drinks lovely and refreshing! We shared garlic dough balls to start (on the specials for the evening), I then had the cannelloni which was full of meat and spinach and the sauce was incredible! My partner had the Pollo Dolcatte with a side of chips and he said it was so tasty and cooked to perfection! We both had cocktails (Moscow mule and Chambord no5) which were both lovely and not bad value! Overall would highly recommend this place but make sure you book!

This was our first visit here and the service and the food were both fabulous. We went for a birthday meal ( I hadn't said anything) but one of the gentlemen asked if we were celebrating anything - when they brought out dessert they served my daughters on a decorated plate and sang to her. Nothing was too much trouble. We all had a wonderful evening. Thankyou so much.

We had the most beautiful late lunch at Vincenzo’s. It was around 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon, we had booked a table and arrived a half hour early but luckily there was room. We chose the inhouse doughballs off the specials menu and the prawns off the regular menu to start - the prawns were out of this world, possibly the best thing both of us have ever had! Doughballs delicious too! For mains we enjoyed the Arabiatta from the regular menu and the slow cooked beef pasta from the specials which was described on the menu as “amazing” and they werent lying, beautiful! The team were lovely, helpful and welcoming, the atmosphere perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed and we will most definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely afternoon team Vincenzo ❤️

The food here is truly excellent. I've spent a reasonable amount of time in Italy and not had better. We had three courses and a side salad and each and every item was absolutely perfect. It was a relaxed atmosphere but with attentive service. The cost of the meal was £43 each (which included the service charge) which I find very reasonable for 3 courses and a large glass of red. It was a wonderful meal and when I am back in Manchester I will definitely pay another visit. I cannot recommend Vincenzo Trattoria highly enough.

Excellent food, shame about the service.

My Husband and I visted this restaurant whilst visiting Manchester. We rang ahead to book but we were told that only 50% of tables can be pre booked and the rest are for walk ins which was fine with us. When we arrived we had a little 5 minute wait which is nothing. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes for somebody to come and take a drink order, we asked if we could order our food to be told a colleague would come over and do so. 5 minutes later they did. Now I appreciate it was a busy Saturday night so you don't always mind waiting however when the lady came to take our order she did not apologise for our wait or even show any intrest at all. She couldn't get away quick enough. The food came pretty quick and I must say it was absolutely beautiful! The best seafood pasta we've had. After our mains we ordered a lemon sorbet which again came pretty quick. Whilst eating my sorbet a waitress came with the bill which we didn't ask for, she then returned moments later with the card machine, at this point I was still eating my sorbet. She said to us "I know this is rushed but have you seen the door we need your table" I literally put down my spoon and we had to leave. I had no plans to sit there all night however I would of at least liked to finish my dessert then get the bill as apposed to her standing over me taking payment whilst I ate. For a restaurant which serves such great good its a shame the staff aren't so welcoming.
