Hmmm... service is good, pasta is bland and unauthentic, Lobster Ravioi barely filled, Carbonara swimming in white 'sauce' Best to avoid

TERRIBLE! We went here for food prior to an event at the Arena, so it was a good location. But this is where the convenience ended! We sat down at 5pm, and didn’t wrap up the bill until 7.15pm. The service was was extremely slow,...which didn’t matter to us as we were in no rush, but we couldn’t help but thinking if someone had gone for a quick bite they would have had to leave sharpish before finishing. 3 courses and 2 drinks each came to over £100! Yes city eating is expensive which we don’t mind when the quality is there. Food was mediocre at best…AVOID!More
Such an amazing place! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great 🥰 would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good Italian meal!
Another fantastic dinner here, best Italian in Manchester for authenticity. Great cocktails, gorgeous food, cannoli to die for, epic wine list. Family run independent, genuinely nice people. Loads of atmosphere… Brilliant.
We had two pizzas and these were both excellent. However we had an early dinner on what was a very busy Saturday and i think this probably impacted our experience as there looked to only be a couple of people serving a full restaurant and...so the service was quite slow so perhaps would’ve been great if there was one more front of house team to keep on top of tables.More
Had a nice pizza here... nice sized space, attentive waiters, good choice of drinks and food. Lots of natural light and neutral decor.
We were very lucky to get a table without a reservation at this very authentic, rustic, Italian restaurant. Salvatore welcomed us heartily and from then on it just got better and better. The Prosciutto with Buffalo Mozzarella to start was simply mouthwatering and just when...we thought it could not get better, well, read on! Estie had the penne baccala and I had the prawn and asparagus risotto. Trust me, don’t even question me, just order it! 🧎🏻🏴More
What a wonderful evening from start to finish! Alex and Alesio made us feel a part of the family with their warm banter. Their charm and knowledge of the cuisine help us pick from the delectable menu and we weren’t disappointed. I will be returning....A slice of northern charm with mouth watering food.More
I’ve visited Salvis many times and the food is always fabulous. I can’t fault it this time but I was disappointed in the not very friendly service. In the past everyone has been so welcoming. We ordered 2 starters and 5 mains. Bottle wine and...2 beers £154. I don’t mind paying for good quality food and I can’t fault that but I didn’t feel the staff were very welcoming. Just an observationMore
9.30 reservation on a Saturday night. Very busy, great atmosphere and the serving team did a great job. We ate delicious authentic pizza and pasta and had a great time. Highly recommended.
We stumbled across this gem from open table. The food was amazing, we’ll cooked, piping hot and tasted delicious. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional. We were served quickly but not hurried out. The wine was very good, and fairly priced - the...gavi is highly recommended! Everything was very reasonably priced and great value for money. We’ll be back when we’re next in town!More
lovely service and friendly staff, very accommodating, amazing food especially the pesto pancetta pasta and had a brilliant night
Great restaurant, authentic Italian. Loved the atmosphere, good service. Can’t fault it after literally stumbling across the place!
I’ve visited Salvi’s a few times over the years and am never disappointed in how tasty their food is. I love introducing friends to Salvi’s as they are guaranteed a lovely treat, especially with the great service. This time Alessio & Alex served us and...they were fantastic! Both friendly, attentive and recommended great dishes. I am especially grateful to Alessio for allowing me to order my old soffieti dish, which I regularly dream of! Both of my friends loved their food and first Salvi’s experience. I honestly cannot fault Salvi’s, I remain a loyal fan.More
I’ve been to Salvi’s a few times in the past and always had a good experience, unfortunately this visit let it down a bit. We visited relatively early in the day, there were four other tables in at the same time, however it still took...40 minutes from ordering for the food to arrive. The food was nice, but nothing you would be blown away by. There are some very Italian places now in Manchester, which I would recommend above this experience.More
