Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We picked this Chinese pure and simply because it was across the road from Manchester Academy where we were to watch a gig, I briefly looked at Restaurants close by and this popped up. In that way we kinda got lucky, and the only disappointment...was having to rush to leave the restaurant. My wife liked it that much she reorded a dish a couple of days later for takeaway.More

This is the first time I can think of that a restaurant has refused to serve me because of allergies - it's 'too complicated' apparently. Very unusual when most restaurants have such good allergen policies these days.

Went for lunch with a friend. The place was clearly popular with Chinese people. We had the cheap lunch deal, one aubergine and pork dish and one spicy mutton dish. Both were excellent, just the right quantity for lunch and tasty. As it was busy...the service was slightly slow, but not problematically so.More

Very Authentic Chinese Food with their special new Chinese style tea drinks. If you like spicy food, the spicy roast duck is very recommend. The staff are also friendly.

It was a couple of years ago since our last visit to this very good Chinese restaurant and we had a good time. It is the wrong side of town for us really, but we decided to make the effort to go there and it...was worth it. we arrived mid evening on a Friday and it was ticking over. It was good to see it was mainly Chinese people eating there as we took it as a sign of authenticity. The service from Sam was excellent and very helpful. We had the chicken with celery which was very good, deep-fried shredded beef which was excellent and prawns with cashew nuts. The portions are of a good size, and we took at least half back home as a takeaway! The wine list is limited, but the one we had was good and they have an interesting range of beers.More

We stopped by here and enjoyed the food. Nothing to complain about, everything is fine: the quality of the food, the service to the setting, everything is pleasant. We recommend this restaurant to people who want Chinese food in London.

Booked a solo table on a Friday evening at 6.30, turned up and the front of house gentleman tried to persuade me to leave stating that there could be a delay of 40 mins. I am now regretting staying. Starter of spare ribs in ok...sauce was ordered with a main of dried fried chicken cubes with pepper and chillies. It only took 15 mins for the food to arrive however the main was presented first without the side of rice. This dish was no way fresh as it was luke warm. I instantly requested that this was despatched back to the kitchen and I wanted my starter first. Waitress said it was Friday night and they were busy! That doesn’t preclude them to serve dishes out of order. The dreadful starter duly arrived followed shortly by the fried rice I ordered with the main. The ribs were inedible, basically battered bones with fruity sauce which I gave up on. During this unpleasant starter the main was duly presented, presumably whisked around a wok to heat it up. Slightly warmer but it was the intense heat of the chillies and pepper that set my mouth on fire. The chicken, contrary to the menu description was battered shredded accompanied with red, green and dried chillies. I started picking out the chicken but had to give up as the furnace in my mouth was distressing. Waitress presented the bill and I requested the reduction of the 10% service charge. I told her that this was the worst ever Chinese meal I have had. No response!More

The service here is not consistent at all. We have only been here about 3 times but thought the same each time. Perhaps they want people in and out quickly, but when things are served to you when you are not expecting them and on...cold plates and then taken away before you’ve properly finished, it’s not a very enjoyable experience. It’s a shame because most of the food is good. Our aubergine was a huge portion and it was delicious, but the crispy Cantonese style chicken was in no way crispy. It was more like cornflour coated chicken. The duck was nice but there was no lid on the pancakes so that went cold very quickly too. Not sure we will revisit.More

Went to the restaurant as part of an evening out in Manchester to say farewell to my boss. Arrived at the restaurant at 8.45pm, seated quickly and ordered the banquet. Within 5 minutes the soup arrived, crockery arrived but no cutlery! Then the waiters bought...the other dishes all at once and plonked them on the table, looking for any space possible. I asked why they had brought all food together as it would get cold and we felt rushed. They said the chef finished at 9pm. Quality of food at that time of night is very poor, chewy meat, twice fried chicken and duck! No fresh crockery or cutlery following the soup! Virtually ate off the plates the food was presented on or used the side plate for the soup! When they took the left over soup away they boxed up as a goodie bag and returned with it, flashed it in front of our faces as we still sat at the table! Could be a completely different experience at a different time of the day!More

This place should really rethink how they use their labour. We were served by 5 different people and getting our orders through was a total mess. We had to ask for several items two or three times before they were delievered. Also there was a...gap of more than 15 minutes between everyone in our party recieving their dishes. Just seems like nobody is ready to take responsibility, and most of the waiters and waitresses just seemed to run away from us so they wouldn’t have to do anything. The food was fine for the most part, although ”fried rice” wasjust regular steamed rice and the tofu plate tasted like nothing but salt. Wouldn’t go again.More

We haven’t visited this restaurant for a long time but our next visit won’t be too far away. We had such a wonderful time and the food was absolutely outstanding. I would advise booking in advance as it is a popular place and you don’t...want to miss out. It has an unusual and varied menu and there’s something for everyone. We picked a variety of dishes for three hungry adults and they were all fantastic. The standout was the softshell crab which was moist and beautifully flavoured. The service throughout was superb and the atmosphere really nice. It is a bit out of town but definitely worth making the effort to get to.More

We established last week that the crispy duck is not and has never been Halal even though staff told us it was. I asked a colleague who speaks the language to call and ask and they confirmed they told her that it was NOT HALAL.

Do not visit. Served with cold boiled rice. One of our courses did not arrive with no explanation until we chased up and were told they had run out of egg fried rice. Our main courses and sides came at all random times, one during...the starter, one bit at all, one lukewarm. To add insult to injury the manager told us they had VIP guests upstairs and were very busy with the take away orders. A vegetable side dish came with ham in it! Plus the restaurant was cold and floors, walls and stairs were unclean. Having come here when this first opened and enjoyed a lovely birthday meal I’m shocked at how bad standards have become. Avoid.More
