Stopped off after work for an afternoon treat and had a warm welcome from Ida. Was torn between a sandwich or an afternoon tea and Lydia recommended the Hatters tea which was perfect and hit the spot to sit and graze. This is one of...my favourite places to stop for a treat and the staff are always welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble, I would highly recommend booking in advance especially at the weekend.More

Very disappointed. I usually love this place but the prices are far too high now. The food was mediocre and the kids afternoon tea was very boring…dry cheese sandwich, one piece of dark chocolate cake, nothing like an exciting few things that it should be.

Booked here for a special lunch for my OH. He had smashed avocado with beetroot hummus and a salad (obviously better than I have just described!) and I had a cheese and onion pie, which came with gorgeous, crunchy yet fluffy chips, and the most...beautifully cooked carrots and broccoli that I have had for a long time. I had to give my chips to my OH as there were too many for me. He had Darjeeling with lemon and I had Blood Orange tea, which was delicious. I meant to ask if they also sold their tea loose to take home but forgot! Anyway, i finished with a creamy coffee with a shot of Cointreau in and my OH had a Glenfiddich. The people who served us were sweet, kind, elegant and gorgeous and the decor is to die for. A truly special place. Everyone in there was made to feel special. Delightful.More

We were staying in town so came here for breakfast. It was as good as ever, great service. Whilst they’ve moved premises, the quirky interior hasn’t changed Highly recommend for breakfast or coffee/afternoon tea

Looked all over Manchester for somewhere with space for my graduation party. So glad I happened upon Richmond Tea Rooms. I'm veggie and gluten free and another member of the party is vegan. Both were happily catered for with no problem at all. The afternoon...tea was delicious and looked stunning. The decor/theme is amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Even my 87yo nan was impressed. Just a shame I'm too far away to visit for the evening entertainment.More

I had my Hen do at the Mad Hatters Tea Party , Booking this was excellent and they kept me informed off my booking . A week before my booking i got an email asking if anyone has a dietary requirement in which i had...a friend with a nut allergy and wondered if they could accommodate her . The answer was yes no problem . This was lovely because they catered for all my friends and could all join in . There light afternoon tea was beautiful and very fresh , i was surprised at the amount we all got . Lastly the entertainment was brilliant and very funny , they got everyone involved and you could also win prizes . All my friends had said what a great night it was . Well done Richmond Tea Rooms defiantly will be going againMore

Visited today for my sister’s 18th birthday and had a lovely time. The food was absolutely divine, we all had the Queen’s Afternoon Tea with an assortment of different teas. We also ordered a teapot cocktail which was super cool! Overall really great experience. To...top it off, service from Adele was amazing. Nothing was a hassle and she was so kind and helpful! Would recommend a visit to anyone!More

Great afternoon tea, reasonably priced for Manchester city centre and for the amount and quality of the food, great selection of savouries and cakes, the food was very good quality and good portions, service was good, we were served more or less as soon as...we arrived so could enjoy the fabulous decor with our food rather than sat waiting. The food was original and tasty and although busy, it was very relaxing. Will go back for breakfast sometime.More
