This is the third time since Christmas 2016 I have visited the Rose Garden. The restaurant continues to deliver food that is innovative and tastes great. The service and ambiance is as good as ever. The Rose Garden is still a brilliant neighbourhood restaurant. Long may it continue to provide a great food offering to Didsbury and the city.

Accompanied by our centenarian relative our romantic Valentine meal took us on our first visit to The Rose Garden, and it won't be our last! My tasty guinea fowl terrine was enhanced by piccalilli, and the venison carpaccio also went down well. Delicious skate wing, bbq beef, and mallard followed, Gpa completed a very satisfactory meal with lovely rhubarb ice... More

We finally visited The Rose Garden this past weekend for our wedding anniversary. It was a last minute booking (they were able to squeeze us in at 8:45pm).. this is a very busy restaurant. I have walked past it a million times but never been taken by the menu. The food, whilst contemporary (v small portions) is very (over) complicated.... More

Me and my husband went for an early valentine's meal. It was our first time to the Rose Garden, even though we used to live just around the corner - and we were not disappointed. The menu was perhaps the most tempting I've ever seen - making the choice very hard! The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, the cocktails were... More

Wow - really interesting combinations of tastes and flavours - top notch in my book. I don't normally do desserts but the salted caramel combo was awesome with plum sake. Really friendly service and our hostess took the time to track me down on Facebook as I had left some cards at the table.

An imaginative and well delivered menu. Well constructed dishes which are flavoursome and original. Your tastebuds burst with delight. Nothing too heavy - so would suggest it wouldn't suit a meat and two veg palate; but, if you like good food at a fair price you should certainly give it a go.

It’s about 12 months since we last ate here. I’d looked at the menu online before we left home and knew exactly what I was going to order. Then, wouldn’t you just know it? Yep, they’ve completely changed the menu. I had to start all over again. And it’s never easy here. In spite of there being only half a... More

Absolutely yummy, beautifully presented dishes, we had about 12 of the sharing plates between 4 for a late lunch and they were delicious.

Tried the Rose Garden for the first time last night and it totally exceeded our expectations. We paid £55 each for the NYE menu and it was money well spent. All of the dishes were excellent but special shout outs go to the lobster ravioli which I could have happily had for starter, main and pudding, and the peanut butter... More

I ate at The Rose Garden for the very first time with friends this evening and was blown away by the standard of food. The waitress who served us was amazing and extremely patient considering how demanding and fussy my friends Dad is (who, by the way, stated that the food was the best he has had in Manchester). I... Description
New to West Didsbury’s Burton Road, The Rose Garden serves exciting contemporary British food created by owner and head Chef William Mills. It’s very much a family affair — William’s elder Brother Tom constructed the interior to a design created by their architect father, the restaurant’s striking visual appeal is complemented by professional but informal table service from William’s younger siblings.
