We went for the 5 course Tuesday tasting menu. My partner is vegetarian and they catered to this very easily, it did not take away from our experience and neither did it take away from the time that it took. Each dish was delicious and...made with a lot of attention to detail. The staff are friendly and approachable and helped us a lot with the vegetarian aspect of the menu. The chef even came out to ask me about my partner's dietary requirements and he was lovely as well. My favourite course was the duckling fillet, however all courses were amazing in their own right. The wine list was extensive. Sadly, were not able to go with the wine flight but the wine that we had was gorgeous. A restaurant like this should feel like a finely oiled machine and it did. Everything flowed seamlessly and I have no qualms with the meal nor the service. Incredible 10/10More

There are some excellent dishes however the weakness is also significant. I would like to praise for the foie first. It's thick and accompanied with bread. I have to say that although I'm not a big fan of cool bread but it's a perfect match...for the foie and bread with nut and fruit. This dish should be signature and recommended. Better share with others as take in the whole plate on your own would make the delicious food a little overwhelming. The snails with cream is also good but not as delighted as the foie. I would still recommend it because it may have vinegar like balsamic in it, and if you had the foie first, the snail can give you a refresh. I was so focused on the cuisines that I didn't pay any attention to my phone at all. I actually phoned with my friend and told her about how happy I was after The starters. Unfortunately, The main courses are not satisfying at all. What I take the most important of a cuisine in such a fine dining place are the flavor and the texture. For The duck, I asked for medium rare But it was overcooked and hard to cut and chew. I even have to rest for a while and chat with my friend while chewing as it certainly took me a long time to digest. The radish as a side was bitter and sour. It could have been cooked with salt in spoiled water to get rid of its flavor. The pumpkin sauce was good. For the wagyu hamburger. The onion was overcooked and its smokey flavor had taken away all the cherish of the wagyu. The wagyu was also overcooked and plain though. Even worse, there was a bug flying around the plates somehow.More

Fantastic food, great wine and good service. The only dissappointment was the let down when you get the bill and find they have decided you are a child and cannot determine how much tip to leave for yourself. This was such a shame when choosing...the food and drink they treat you like an adult and let you decide what you want for yourself, when it comes to the bill they seem to want to decide for you how much tip you leave, either that or they are under paying staff and need you to pay directly for them. Now most of this review has been taken up with the service charge when it should be about the excellent food and wine, why as a business owner would you detract from your main business by doing this? Remember, the minute you add it to the bill it is no longer discretionary. Oh the duck and scallops were great, the service was good as well and the wine was excellent, but the service charge was an insult.More

Although the food was tasty and the waiters polite and helpful, what should have been a lovely evening with four long time friends was spoilt at the end by a surly and unfriendly member of the front of house staff. We had booked the table...for 8:00 pm because we had been to the theatre in the afternoon and we were the last table to be seated. Unusually, we all managed to eat three courses as the portions are quite small and between us we drank a bottle of white wine, a bottle of red and two bottles of sparkling water. We were just finishing our wine when the lady mentioned above began noisily getting out cutlery, setting tables and blowing out candles making it very clear we had to leave. Our expensive bill was then presented with no smiles or other acknowledgment and not only was there an automatic addition of 15% service charge but there was no breakdown showing the amount of VAT making the service charge considerably more than 15%. I don’t think we will be returning.More

Lovely true French restaurant run by a genuine French family. Service was excellent. Food was fantastic, wine selection is huge for a small establishment. Please be aware that the overall cost is beyond even mid range eats. With drinks a bill for two would be...in the range of £150.00. We spent far more but that was our choice, no complaints whatsoever. Very fine wines do unfortunately cost money. Highly recommended for great genuine French feastsMore

We had booked a table a few days earlier for an anniversary celebration and were told it would indeed be special. Not really. The district and immediate vicinity and restaurant frontage are very reminiscent of Paris. The food was very good and the service was...impeccable. The interior, again, was very French style .I suggest spending a little more on wine as our cheaper option was disappointing and if bought by the glass there is a huge mark up. We have eaten in restaurants at this price point in France and this compares. However the 25% service charge is bizarre. I have never known it anywhere home or abroad and its also usually discretionary or inclusive. Almost 25£ on the bill. And as if that wasn't bad enough the Dauphinois had cheese on top! Mon Dieu!More

It is refreshing to have a genuinely independent restaurant in the City Centre rather than a suburb. A lovely warm welcome on a typical rainy Manchester evening having made the trip across the Pennines from God's Country. The service is genuinely warm and friendly. The...the food is really well cooked and presented. Lobster Ceasar salad and lamb for me, Mrs F had the terrine and scallops, god daughter had salmon three ways and lobster burger - all gorgeous. Mrs F and god daughter had the house champagne....and I have to say as some one who is not massive fan of fizz it was REALLY good. Overall pricey but worth it.More

Great location in the Northern Quarter. Plenty of drinking options before you dine. It’s a very sophisticated feeling venue but not at all stuffy or pretentious. Modern French bistro food. And small menu with lots of good wine choices. Chef is in and out of...the kitchen and the staff are genuinely lovely. Deffo a date night kind of place. Romantic and atmospheric My only gripe is that the options for vegetarians that day were a starter celebrating carrots. And a main risotto. With carrot. All were lovely Meat and fish dishes were pricey but well received by the meat eater. Raved about the lobster Caesar salad Great French cheese board too.More
