Visited Zaytoon twice so far for dinner with a friend, following my father’s recommendation and we were not disappointed. The Owner and Chef, George, is so lovely and welcoming, as is his daughter. The food is cooked fresh to order with quality ingredients and is unbelievable value! On my second visit, I ordered the Special of BBQ red snapper and it was beautiful. I will return again soon as I love Lebanese cuisine and the food here is flavoursome with great portion sizes.

We're ordering food to collect from Zaytoon most weeks now as our Saturday night treat, and we can't recommend it highly enough. For anyone who's eaten in here in the past, the seabass is exactly as you'd get in the restaurant (in other words, delicious) and very good value at £15. The meat platter (£20) and veggie meze (£20) both come with a heap of salad, grilled halloumi and falafel. The previous reviewer who said the meat platter fed a family of four was spot-on. The veggie meze is more than enough to feed the two of us for two nights. Zaytoon is a South Manchester gem, run by lovely people, and it's brilliant to see how they've adapted to the COVID restrictions.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and its amazing food so was really looking forward to finally having the opportunity to try it.
I can safely say it did not disappoint!!
We had the mixed meat meze sharing platter which was superb and unreal value for money as it comfortably did four of us and i couldnt resist trying the legendary whole sea bass which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I left utterly stuffed but very happy
Fantastic atmosphere and service too.
When i come back to Manchester this is basically a must.

Meal was fantastic from start to finish - we had 5 starters including the tabouleh, houmous, lamb shawarma,falafel and lamb kofteh. We also had the lamb kebab for mains. All outstanding with great flavours -a pleasure to eat. Very generous portion sizes, you will not be disappointed. The owner was then kind enough to give us some free baklava to share to finish the meal. Ten out of ten.

Having wanted to visit Zaytoon for a while, we spied our chance on a Sunday evening while they had some spare tables. Our waitress was really friendly and kept an eye on us throughout, making sure everything was nice for us, and that we had everything we needed. Our food was absolutely gorgeous - we hadn't quite expected that our unplanned evening ut was going to go so well! The fish I had was cooked to perfection and the lamb steak which my parter had was also cooked exactly as he had asked. It was a really nice touch when the chef came out to us to say hello and check everything was as we wanted too. We also had some complementary baklava at the end of the meal which was a lovely gesture. We didn't hesitate to leave a tip and we are so pleased to find a new local gem so close to home! Thank you again and we will be back soon!

Came with friends who had recommended this place in November. Didn’t want to write a review but now a couple months later feel compelled to do so. We shared a variety of starters and they were delicious. For mains 3 of us wanted the rack of the lamb but we told non available. Saturday night- surprised. Host recommended another lamb dish similar to Lamb Henry I suppose. It was horrible .my wife and I left ours as did one of the friends. It lacked taste and the lamb was like old boots. Didn’t complain as I would have done if there was just the 2 of us. Owner is a really nice guy and won us over and avoided a fuss a possible one star .So surprised by how good the ratings are but hey my poor comments will not really make a dent in the reviews.

We had the BEST experience at Zaytoon! We surprisingly had the whole restaurant to ourselves so it was a great birthday surprise for my husband. We started with tabbouleh, homous, and haloumi. Followed by our mains. I had my favourite sea bream and my husband finished an entire rack of lamb to himself! They even put a candle on his lamb and sang happy birthday! The portions are (very) generous! The fish was so fresh and beautifully cooked, seasoned to perfection! Very generous portions! We spent time chatting and getting to know the chef and his family, felt like we were welcomed into his home. Outstanding experience. Amazing food. Relaxed ambiance. Has been (and will always be) my favourite spot in Manchester!

Just eaten here: four adults, a baby and a little dog. From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding- I can’t recall a more friendly and helpful waitress . We had starters and mains and everything was delicious. There is an open kitchen so we could see the dishes being freshly cooked. Prices for both food and drinks are very reasonable.
We eat out regularly in all kinds of restaurants; however, I can honestly say that we have never had better service. Thank you.

Our visit at Zaytoon in Chorlton was one of pure satisfaction.
The food is truly 'home cooked', full of flavour and very obviously cooked with passion.
George and the staff ensure that your meal is served to an excellent standard and that the reputation of Lebanese cuisine is upheld.
We loved this place, and will return.

Words cannot describe how great this place is. We found it by chance a few years ago and have been back many, many times with different friends and relatives (plus recommended the place to pretty much anyone who will listen).
Food is amazing - we have tried quite a few things and it's all fresh and delicious. Service is exceptional - you are always made to feel welcome and looked after well.
Cash only but there is a cashpoint only 1 minute walk away, and they are very open when you book and arrive about this. Value for money, without a shadow of a doubt.
Always best to book to avoid disappointment. Zaytoon - Jersey loves you!!

Second time visiting here and it was just as delicious as the first time, my friend who came with me was so impressed as well. The food is so fresh tasting and delicious, it’s definitely the best Lebanese I’ve been to. George and his daughter are so lovely and welcoming and the portion sizes are very generous also, I would recommend to anyone as it’s just good hearty food that you can tell is very fresh and consistent!

Visited yesterday and it really was an absolute joy!
Great people (thank-you George and Natalie), Great quality food, Great big portions and really good value for money. What's not to love?
We shared the meat platter, piled with chicken, lamb chops, kofta, falafel, hummus and salad. Everything was delicious and after we'd eaten ourselves to a standstill we took the leftovers home for today's lunch.
Have already booked our next visit.
Go soon! Go hungry!

A real hidden gem.
Came with no expectations and left full and satisfied. The chef prepares everything from scratch and our usually fussy kids didn’t have a single thing to complain about!
We ordered most of the starters and two mains. The chicken shawarma is amazing as is the hummus and it all goes nicely with the warm bread.
The staff are lovely and do everything they can to make the meal special. To top it off, it’s all reasonably priced.
The owner, George and his daughter, Natalie, came and spoke to all the customers. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We will definitely be back!

Three of us went… it’s fair to say that the sharing meme platter is enough food to deck a bull elephant. For £45 it’s simply a stupid amount of quality home cooked food.
Three of us were stuff with enough to take home for three lunches. Everything on the platter was amazing.

Amazing food, all the lamb so soft. Best moutabal i’ve had! Very nice staff and chef/owner comes around all the tables to talk to you and ask for feedback on the food and taught me how to make arabic mint tea! Personal dining experience, will definitely be back.
