I hosted mine and a colleagues works leaving do for around 40 people at Rain Bar last night. Despite it being a busy time for Akex and his team, they managed to reserve some tables for us and serve bar food to early arrivals. The...food was lovely. The staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I'd would highly recommend this bar for any occasion and will definitely be bringing family and friends here again. Alex and his team hosted 45 of us for our annual post film premiere lunch and presentations. We're Acting on Impulse, a Manchester-based charity who work with marginalised and vulnerable, most of whom have been homeless at some point in their lives. Being a charity,...we were on a tight budget, which Alex was able to accommodate. Leading up to the day, communication with Alex was prompt, clear and straight forward - very reassuring. On the day, the food was excellent - two great options and very tasty. Everyone commented on how good it was. It was served very efficiently and courteously. The Rain Bar is a super location and the function room upstairs is light and airy with great views over the canal. I'd like to thank Alex & his team for a great lunch and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting to hold a value-for-money function in central Manchester.More

We had a group meet here and it was incredible. Chris and the team were so helpful, professional and supportive from the booking to the evening. We recently booked the function room upstairs for a special birthday party. From my initial enquiry with Sarah to the many emails to Alex, everything has gone so smoothly in getting everything booked. Our event was on Saturday (14th Oct) and it couldn't have gone...any better! Alex was there to meet and greet us and introduced us to our fantastic bar staff for the night (special shout out to Joe, Beth and Shane). We had some food upstairs before the party started, it was all delicious and a very quick service considering how busy it was downstairs, very impressed. Nothing was too much trouble, the room gives off a really lovely ambience and the balcony is fantastic for additonal extra space. We loved every minute and will definitely be booking again! Thanks to everyone at Rain Bar, it is definitely a jewel in the City!More

Booked a table for 6 sat lunch time - food was excellent and good prices. The service was great - the waitress looked after us and checked in on us for drinks etc and we weren't rushed. I had my 50th birthday party at the Rain Bar in the function room in early September 2023. It was all very easy to arrange with Alex and his team. We had our own music played through the room speakers, and a slide show on...the TVs. The function room is a great venue with its own bar and terrace (overlooking the canal), with easy access to toilets. We had great weather so guests spent a lot of time outside. We had the buffet which was very good and plentiful (one of the guests went back for 3rds which definitely means something). The staff on the night were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of variety of drinks at the bar. I would certainly recommend to hire.More

Booked the upstairs event space for my 30th Birthday and it was perfect. Recently been refurbed the upstairs function room was the perfect size and style for it, the location is excellent. Such a nice space for city centre at a competitive price. Alex and...the rest of the team were incredibly helpful from start to end. We had our wedding reception here on the 8th July 2023 and we were bowled over! It was all absolutely amazing! Sarah was an especial help throughout (since we contacted her first in May 2022) and answered all of our questions and concerns with professionalism...and kindness. Alex also helped coordinate closer to the time and they were both absolute gems on the day, as were all of the staff! We couldn’t have asked for or expected better. Our guests all commented on how great the food was (most people said it was the best wedding meal they ever had, and my husband and I certainly concur!), there was an array of drinks on offer, the room looked amazing, everything was handled swiftly and efficiently. We were able to drop in our decorations the day before and were allowed in early to set up the room, and they kept all of our things safely for us to collect the following day. We would absolutely recommend Rain Bar for anyone looking for a venue for any event.More
