Came with my husband to do the gin masterclass,it was early afternoon so the place was quiet, which worked to our advantage.
We started with the history of gin and Dan really knew his stuff. We then had a few tasters and then finally made a gin cocktail.
The venue is lovely, interesting things to look at around the walls, relating to Manchester (of course) The staff were attentive, polite and knowledgeble.
A really good afternoon, well worth a visit even without the masterclass. I will be going again

Just WOW!! Despite everything that’s happening right now, the staff here were perfect beyond belief. Yeh we had to wait 2 mins for a table but that was so it was sanitised, can’t ask for more. When we sat down we were talked through the procedures by the waitress and instantly felt relaxed. The music and the atmosphere was the same as always and the drinks were faultless. Only popped in for one but stayed for the night! Booking is advised as we took the last table but after 5 months away, it’s great to back!

Booked this place last minute for our staff night out, wasn’t expecting much but they really delivered when we arrived every cocktail was on point and the hospitality was amazing. The music was great and suited the casual cocktail bar vibe, the bartenders working that evening catered to our every need and made it a more than enjoyable night. Sorry didn’t quite catch the names of the staff but well done to the two guys on the bar great service 10/10 for both of you. Definitely deserve the 5/5 rating!

Booked a table for 4x people for the Euros Final match for ‘drinks inside’. Contacted the bar 4 times via email & social media to ensure we would be able to watch the football and extend the time we had the table for. Finally received a response to state YES would would be able to watch the football & the table was extended.
Arrived at 19:45 to be taken to a table in the corner with ZERO view of the TV (huge pillar blocking the way), When I asked the manager why we were being given this table he said it was first come first serve & that we should have been told that we didn’t have a view of the tv. However there was one table left with a view of the tv which we also couldn’t have as ‘apparently’ that had been booked two weeks ago (first come first serve clearly was first book first serve - yet none of this was noted online!). I think it’s an absolute joke that they clearly knew we had booked for the football yet let us turn up fifteen minutes before to say we didn’t have a view of the TV! You’d have thought they would have had the decency to contact us beforehand or even tell me via email days before when I asked. They knew this would completely ruin our night yet let it happen.
I would not recommend this bar for any future sports events as most of the tables have a restricted view (if any) and they have one small TV in the corner (be sure to ask which place you are in the ‘booking que’ to make sure you can actually watch the game)!
I will not be visiting this bar in the future due to their lack of common sense & customer service skills.
FYI- If a group of people book a table for a football game, they probably want to be able to watch it.

We went to the launch of the new cocktails menu last night. We tried nearly all of the cocktails everyone of them were amazing so many different flavours and so different from the classic cocktails. We felt like VIP's from the waitresses to the manager and even the guy that invented the cocktails taking the time to come and talk to us. This is going to be our regular place to go whenever we are in Manchester. I highly recommend this place 10 out of 10 for cocktails, service and atmosphere cant wait to go back.

10 Stars if we could give them. What an absolute Gem of a place - a group of 8 us around 40 years old having been told that we are too large a group to let in at other bars that evening, despite the fact we would be no trouble, were about to go home but we had reserved a table here. So glad we did, the minute walked in the staff were nothing but accommodating, had food ready for us (which I'd forgotten we'd ordered!) played some brilliant music - The Smiths, some Green Day, Oasis, U2, great beer, great food, great service they could not do enough. Wish we'd spent our whole evening there. Top top end to a weekend in Manchester and would be back here when next up in a heartbeat.

We called in this excellent bar early on a Wednesday evening after it had just opened. It was quiet but still had a nice atmosphere and is beautifully done out with Mancunian memorabilia.
The guy who served us was friendly and let us try our drinks to make sure we like them. They do a different kind cider which was really refreshing as it was quite a warm day. You can sit outside but this was a typical Manchester day where there were rain showers about so we took a table inside.
From here we could enjoy the excellent music they playand we had a really good time there.

Weekend. away with the sisters to celebrate the 'baby's ' 40th birthday. Booking was simple and payment in advance easily made. It offered excellent value for money and Emma our host was delightful, very knowledgeable and friendly. All f our party throughly enjoyed the afternoon, I highly recommend the cocktail making. We all left full of additional cocktail tips. And full details of cocktails!! Thank you. So much for making our afternoon so memorable.

Honestly me and my friends came here for the first time after a nice meal and this place was incredible. I firstly must say that the guy who ran the place with long brunette hair tied back was absolutely phenomenal. Amazing at his job, with great customer service and we will definitely return. He even let us get a photo with the MICHELLIN man and then the guests next to us bought it, for us to have some. Honestly this place is incredible, with great music and vibes and we will definitely return! Thankyou

Horrible experience here on Friday night 04/03/22. Me and 4 work colleagues sat down at an empty table with our drinks, and were there for at least 20 minutes before a man came over and told us we had to move. He said he had been outside smoking but now he wanted this particular table back. One of his friends also came over and they tried to intimidate us into moving. They then somehow got the manager to come over who also told us to move! One of my colleagues asked another member of staff why they were allowing customers to intimidate others and she said "Because they come in here every day"....Seemed really dodgy like the staff were scared of these people and just allowed them to do whatever they want. We refused to move out of principle and then more people came over, and I suggested to a girl that we share the table, to which she replied "I could kick your head in". Awesome. We told the staff about this. They said they had removed them and yet we could see them all crowding round another table...what the hell. Anyway after more complaining they eventually left and the manager came over and apologised - too little too late. The whole situation was really weird and felt super dodgy. My partner messaged the venue the next day as he was really annoyed and I could not believe the response - see picture!

Visited several times before on our trips to Manchester and tonight certainly didn't disappoint. Very friendly staff, brilliant music. Lovely pub, full of awesome memorabilia. To top it all,when we left,
one of the staff raced up the street after us, to return my brolly that I'd left on the floor.

Staff were very friendly, Treat me and my friend very well. Made us feel safe and provided us with local information alongside excelent customer service. Would recommend to friends and family. I would definitely come back to this establishment. Emma, Craig, Mike and Azz will always be remembered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Had a fantastic time last night in the bar with my Daughter on our trip to Manchester. We didn't have food just plenty of drinks. I must say the staff are fantastic and the young lady who was waiting on tables looked after us so well. We will definately be back when we visit Manchester again. Thanks all for a great night.

Booked a last min table for me and my boyfriend on an impromptu trip to Manc, what a find it was! Staff super chill and friendly, made to feel right at home. Cosy atmosphere on the inside with good music playing. Good cocktail menu with classics and house originals. Definitely worth a visit and will be back again.

Thoroughly recommend this if anyone is looking for a gin tasting experience. Our host was knowledgeable, explained the origins of gin and produced several different varieties to taste. Tried a couple of the local gins, and the background stories behind them which was very interesting. Bar has a really cool vibe, and if you're a fan of brit pop you'll enjoy it here. We'll definitely return for an evening on our next visit to Manchester.
