Excellent food and very friendly!! Go for a walk from Debdale Park down into Tan Yard Brow and follow Gore Brook along Gorton Trail and come upon The Vale Cottage suddenly, at the end of a rising slope. I don't think you'll regret the effort!!!

Real jewel in the rough, we thought we were lost as you go through a housing estate to get to it, it's lovely. Quaint setting, lovely old fashioned pub and the food was excellent and obviously home made.

Have visited The Vale Cottage several times. Always a warm welcome, excellent choice of beers and good home cooking at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the Sunday lunch. So refreshing to find that pubs like this still exist instead of the characterless chain pubs...More

Clean, quiet pub in a set back location of Gorton. Good home cooked food, fab wine (Jack Rabbit). Very friendly.
