We serve hundreds of customers each week who leave happy. We are always sorry that anyone leaves us unhappy but we do find it quite odd when customers have only made one review in one city ever and recommend competitors. Is this authentic? the staff...More

Different sushi chefs use different recipes. We have a reputation as being one of the best sushi restaurant in Manchester because our recipe has been developed over 23 years. Sushi rice is softer when it is freshly prepared and not chilled. If you are accustomed...More

My favourite resturant in Manchester, have never been disappointed with them. My favourite dish is their Yaki Udon, very saucy and delicious. Excellent sushi and tempura, too. Banana tempura are a great dessert :)

Thank you for the great review. Yaki udon is only appreciated by authentic Japanese food lovers. It can be a bit of a shock to the system for those new to japanese food but we recommend it for a filling new taste experience.

Nudged to consider a new decor scheme. Please come again in spring time. The maple leaves and bamboo may just be gone. We are happy you still enjoyed the food. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to review us.

Fans may be interested to know that many local footballers build their strength and vitamin levels with Samsi sushi. It is very likely that 1/4 of the team you watched had eaten in or out with us.

SAMSI has been trading for 19 years in April, specialising in Japanese cuisine and food stuff. It began as an award-winning restaurant, which quickly expanded into four different cities in the North west of England. In response to customer request we began importing and selling ingredients in retail sizes while continuing to search Japan for the highest quality restaurant ingredients. We research every country for trends in Japanese dining in restaurants, hotels, and in homes. From the UK, we can supply worldwide reliably. Our recent expansion has been the manufacture of Japanese ready-meals in noodle, bento-lunchbox, and sushi packs. These have been developed with Manchester Metropolitan University. The taste test studies carried out by the university supported our ideal that the ready meals are restaurant quality. We not only deal with food products, but we also provide tableware to assist you in experiencing the most authentic Japanese style.
