We regularly eat here as a couple or family. The Italian food is cooked in an open kitchen & service is quick. The garlic bread is fabulous & we would recommend a nibble of this as a starter. The waiters are all Italian & the...More

This place seems to make a show of being the place to be seen. Why do we need to see photos on the walls of all the "celebs" who have dined there? Does this justify the high prices? I just want a good meal and...More

The food was very good, a little on the pricy side! If time is a concern, choose elsewhere, it is slow , deliberate yet efficient! Allergy’s mentioned will ellicit a minor test to insure all is acceptable- liability concerns likely. An enjoyable evening and the...More

I would look elsewhere. The food was OK, but nothing special. Both starter and main were only just warm - too long on the pass? The pasta accompanying the main dish arrived 10 minutes after the meat, and that was after chasing twice. But the...More

Went to San Carlo for dinner. Everything we got was amazing. The garlic bread is large thin crust pizza with lots of cheese and garlic never tasted any as good. Got pasta Carbonara and lobster risotto OH what a taste.

Description
Set in the hub of Manchester's King Street West, this brand-new concept restaurant is the feather in the cap of the San Carlo group's award-winning chain of Italian restaurants. A departure from the regular San Carlo formula, the dining room boasts an open, light and airy all-white space with red accents, and a stylish bar and lounge area perfect for pre/post dinner drinks. The menu is an lavish celebration of traditional seafood-led Italian cuisine, and favourite dishes include the Scallops San Carlo; Tagliatelle Monte Carlo – pasta served with sautéed shallots and diced monkfish in a creamy tomato and white wine sauce; and the traditional spiced Italian sausages cooked with Borlotti beans.
