The curries have improved since we last went when it was Nawaab. The curry is thicker with more flavour and way less oil. The starters were nice but the daal has changed. I preferred the old daal. The old daal was the highlight of my...trip in the Nawaab days. But now the curries are the highlight with Merzee. The lamb chops were much better too. Much more moist and flavourful. I didn’t have any digestive issues or nausea after the food which I did when it was Nawaab. I used to dread those watery oily bland curries that they did. The only downside is that they charge you for popadoms. At £26 per person plus the extra cost of drinks, it seemed cheeky to charge for popadoms when it’s supposed to be a buffet. It was nice to have one last visit there since its changed. I won’t be returning again. Purely because of the price.More

Normally only like the stake and fish pakoras they was full of oil and very small amounts left to pick they didn’t refill and the stake wen I asked for two pieces I was told no it’s only 1 per customer to start with it...was a small piece ridiculous as that’s the only thing I had save your money your better off somewhere elseMore

It’s was Royal Nawab and changed the name to Merzee I thought Nawab was worse but this was Merzee was worse than worse

Absolutely disgusting food the service is terrible it’s not what it used to be the chicken wings were dry and raw

Food was undercooked. The grilled wings had dried blood in them. Felt sick after after that. Rest of the starters were dry. Chicken masala tasted awful. Never again. Merzee gone down hill.

We had big party here and told when booked any person not come we pack food to take home. On the day more than 60 people not come in the party. We been given food of 5 person to take home. While party going on...they took our food down stairs to sell in buffet. When asked management for explination no one wants speak about it. Rang so many times no answer. Please do not book any party here as they rob you.More

Came with my family and the management are very poor and didn't look after us at all. Booked a wedding and people and they kept the food after for the buffet downstairs. Took money quickly but won't reimburse and management don't want to talk or...respond to this issue. Very poorMore

The people in the management is worst I have ever seen. I had Booking 290 people and been told left over food will be packed to take home. On the event day due to very rainy and bad weather, we had over 50 to 60...person not turned up. We expected lots of leftover food as we had lots of people not come. When got home, I was surprised to see only got chicken and meat not even enough for 5 person. I rang next day asked what happened. They said some one call back so far no one have. I have spoken to nearly all staff in the management and called every days over 10 days so far no answer. The people in this management are very unprofessional . I would people think twice before you book here. They don't like it when customer complain but they like to take your money upfront. I would like to give 0 star if I can. Never again.More

This place is the worst place for customer service. The management is very poor. They do not respond to complaint when some things are wrong. All they care is take your money. Don't like complaint.

I've been coming to Nawaab in Leeds for years and have always enjoyed the food and service however after ordering a tandoori mixed grill the food turned up and the lamp chops were like cold, chewy gristle , I don't often complain but as they...were so poor I spoke to the manager in a polite manner who's attitude was quite aggressive and dismissive. I fully appreciate it can't be easy dealing with so many half cut/drunk customers on a Saturday evening but if they're going to charge £15 a pop for a dish they really ought to make sure it's actually edible. Won't be rushing back.More
