Whenever we are shopping in Bordeaux , we try to stop at Le Noailles for a restorative lunch with a refreshing glass of champagne. I love the classic brasserie interior with waiters in their long white aprons who briskly provision your table and pour your wine with a flourish. Go for the specials of the day and you will not... Our least enjoyable meal in a week's stay in this lovely city. Seafood was overcooked, 3 dodgy oysters from 12, horribly dry salty confit of duck, and nasty house red wine. Bog standard cheap tourist fare, although the locals appeared to be enjoying their meals around us. (We are fluent in French, so do not believe we were picked out... More

We are on a two month extended vacation through Western Europe. We just finished five nights at a rental apartment in the 8th Arrondissement of Paris, home of many high end French restaurants. I guess I just didn't select any that matched the excellent meal we just had at La Noailles. We arrived at their opening time of 19:00 and... More

To fault the food would be unfair as it was quite good . I had dined at this restaurant on a previous trip and enjoyed returning so much so that we booked again for the same table the following evening . When we arrived it was obvious that they had never written down the reservation but no problem the table... More

This is a casual and traditional brasserie, frequented by locals. The food is delicious and, I understand, dependable. It is where locals go after the opera. They serve fresh local ingredients prepared in the local tradition. No frozen and reheated food here. In June, the oysters, strawberries, and cherries were at their best, and the restaurant made good use of... More

Indifferent service on this visit, not made as welcome as on my previous visits which was a shame. The food is good but the ambiance lacking,it wasnt that busy and I think they work better when the place is full. Its not cheap so I had expected better.

This place is a brasserie and has been there for nearly a century. So to have The "best "one has to order local food and " (enjoy ? Dropped in for a light lunch after walking miles: we each had an excellent salad and a half bottle of local Rose. Service was friendly and the place was full of locals enjoying themselves, this was an enjoyable experience and I'd go again

A quintessential French brasserie. Lots of local French. A good vibe that got louder and people kept drinking. We started with a salad with bacon and poached egg. And then a fantastically crispy duck confit. With French fries. A good solid fine list with nice local wines around 40€ or a lot more if you want the grand classe. A... More

Truly a French experience. The wait staff are so amazing and even though we spoke little to no french and the waiter little to no english he was truly professional and treated us (even in our day of hiking around clothes) as honoured guests. Food was perfect!
